Living on-campus means you’ll have opportunities to meet new people, appreciate new cultures and backgrounds, make life-long friends, develop interpersonal skills, and develop a sense of community. Living on-campus is also a way to develop life strategies and gain independence while having added conveniences that will make your transition to college life as smooth as possible.
A variety of residence halls and University of Wyoming apartments are available on campus. Although our halls may look similar, each building has its own character, environment, and personality.
Residential Living Learning CommunitiesBy living in a Living Learning Community, you’ll be surrounded by others with similar interests, identities, or academic aspirations. College success is more than getting good grades; it’s about getting involved with the things that matter to you, from volunteering in a community to participating in an event or getting help from a faculty member. |
Live-On RequirementFirst-year students with less than. 24 college credit hours earned after high school graduation, who are not living in the local area with their legal guardian, are required to live in the Residence Halls through the completion of their first academic year. The University of Wyoming Board of Trustees put this policy into place. |
AccommodationsDo you require special accommodations in the residence halls due to a medical condition? Please get in touch with Disability Support Services for assistance in placement within the residence halls. Requests can be submitted to their office at any time. To be considered for priority placement for the fall semester, requests must be submitted by May 1. The spring semester priority placement deadline is November 30. |
Flexible HousingWe understand that students need flexibility in their living situation, and that is why Housing has options for students who need to arrive early to campus, summer housing while taking courses, or short-term housing over holidays and scheduled breaks. |
