Winter Storm

A low pressure system tracked slowly southeast along the Ohio River on Tuesday. This brought heavy snow from East Central Indiana across Southwest Ohio into Northeast Kentucky. There was a narrow band of very heavy snow that produced snowfall rates of up to 2 inches per hour. Thanks to this narrow band of very heavy snow, snowfall amounts varied greatly over relatively short distances. Many areas picked up anywhere from 4 to 6 inches of snow with localized amounts approaching 10 inches.
