Severe Weather

A strong low pressure system moved into the Ohio Valley during the morning hours of the 14th. A potent warm front pivoted north through the area, resulting in a very sharp temperature gradient from one side of the front to the other. The environment became increasingly unstable amidst a strongly-sheared setup, which allowed for scattered storms to develop during the afternoon into the early evening hours. Some of these storms exhibited signs of rotation while others produced instances of straight-line wind damage. Some large hail was also reported in some of the stronger storms.
