Motivation

•  Support could be a surprisingly useful property to eliminate duplicates/match entities since it is usually published and applies to more entities than the only other similar identifier, the tax id. Karl Oblique (talk) 09:45, 3 May 2022 (UTC)
•  Oppose Note that IBAN is not an identifier of the company/organization, as it is an identifier of a bank account. Companies usually have multiple bank accounts. These data also change frequently. I don't think wikidata should store this type of data. --Jklamo (talk) 16:34, 4 May 2022 (UTC)

•  Support ISIN is also not a company identifier but identifier of particular financial instruments (securities), and some companies have thousands of these. Similarly, "ticker" (qualifier for "stock exchange": a company can have several and a ticker can be reused between companies. Nevertheless, both were accepted as WD properties of companies since they are useful for matching companies.
