Bad news for Sergio Alvarez Moya: The Spanish rider has to undergo knee surgery, and is out of action for the next four months.
The 33-year-old rider, currently ranked 56th in the world, injured himself earlier this year during the Sunshine Tour in Spain. "My left knee has gotten worse and worse since the injury I sustained at the Sunshine Tour, and I will have to do surgery mid-September. This means that I unfortunately will have to take a forced break that is expected to last four months," Moya tells World of Showjumping.
At WoSJ we wish Sergio a speedy recovery, and hope to see him back in the ring soon.
