Heat and humidity return today
We are in for a toasty Tuesday as mostly sunny skies usher in highs in the mid and upper 90s and heat indices near 100. We will stay clear overnight and will see increasing cloud coverage and a small chance for isolated afternoon showers Wednesday as a mostly dry cold front sweeps across the state.
Another weak cold front will move through Friday leaving very pleasant temperatures and humidity levels for the weekend with highs peaking in the mid 80s.
We will likely not see any local impacts from Tropical Storm Debby, but the storm is overwhelming the Georgia and South Carolina coasts with torrential rainfall and possible historic flooding. The storm is expected to skirt up the east coast by the end of the week and continue into the New England states.
