The Heat is On
After a more comfortable Thursday, the heat returned today with temperatures reaching the low 90’s and heat indexes in the triple digits in some areas. Overnight lows will be toasty with temperatures only dropping into the mid 70’s. The heat and humidity continue Saturday ahead of a cold front that will bring scattered showers to central Kentucky.
The storm chances continue throughout Saturday night and into the day on Sunday. The storms should exit the area by mid-day Sunday. All of the Bluegrass is still under a low risk on Saturday and early Sunday for heavy rainfall, gusty winds, and potential hail.
In the wake of this weekend’s cold front, Monday is looking absolutely lovely with sunny skies and temperatures topping out in the low 80’s. Tuesday is also looking to be mostly sunny, although temperatures will be heating back up to the low 90’s. On Wednesday, another cold front arrives (likely in the afternoon hours) and will linger into Thursday giving us more rain chances for our July 4th holiday.
