If I could give a higher rating than 5 stars, I would! This is the real thing - it is genuine Mexican food. I'm always on the look out for foods of my homeland, but the majority fall very short. Their food is very tasty and well served. No shortage of flavors or servings here.

The location is tiny. As of now they have suspended all dining inside, as well as on their patio. They have converted to takeout orders only. Order may be placed by phone or on arrival at their counter. They have a variety of casual street foods along with some American sandwiches and pastries (although I wish they would just stick to Mexican specialties).

We ordered a Torta Mixta (Pastor and Bistec). It was served on a perfectly soft French bread roll where it was filled with meat, avocado, white cheese and Mexican cream. Every bite was filled with so many savory flavors. We also ordered the Tacos De Canasta. I have never seen this on any menu in the US. The cooking process is completed in a basket with steam. The order had 15 mini-tacos of bean and cheese, Carme desherbada, and papa con chorizo (for $15 it is one of their most value items). Similar to the torta, these tiny tacos were packed with so much flavor. The best part - was the dessert. We ordered Pan De Muerto (Bread of the Dead) which is a seasonal item. It is a sweet bread that has a hard sugary shell with a super soft, almost buttery inside. The bread looks simple but the flavor is far from it. It is one of the most delicious breads I have EVER tasted.

Pricing for their regular tacos are a bit high for street food - especially since they are permanently becoming strictly takeout. Their website and location still announces All-You-Can-Eat Taco Tuesdays - which is no longer available. Updating the website along with their new hours will avoid some confusion. In all - this is a place which I intend on frequenting regularly.

Had dinner here with my wife and it was delicious! I ordered the unlimited tacos and they first brought out 8 tacos to try and I can order 2 tacos at a time after that. I really liked the tacos De Rajas, cochinita Pibil, and asada. The mole, tinga and chorizo with potatoes were ok. I wasn't a fan of the green salsa tacos which were chicharon and pork. I originally went there to try the pastor but it was WAYYYYYY TOO salty!!!

My wife ordered the Baja fish tacos and she said they were alright, nothing special. The horchata and the agua de Jamaica were very good though. The service was great and the restaurant itself was clean and very nice inside and out. We'll go back for more tacos for sure.

We have been wanting to experience Marioli since we moved to Stone Oak 2 yrs ago. We finally got the chance, but were disappointed. The hype was not all we had hoped it would be. It was not terrible it was just like going to another Mexican food chain. Nothing special about the food or setting. It was our first time there and had asked what their most popular dish was and he pointed out so much so I asked what he would recommend and he said anyone of those? We might consider going back again since the experience was not horrible.

Okay, so I gotta keep it real here. I stopped in here because the ratings were good. The place was completely empty at around 7 pm on a Thursday. I walked in a looked around. The lady behind the counter did not look up from her crossword. A male employee walked by me without a word as well. I seated myself, figuring that was how it was done here. The lady came out from behind the counter and spoke to me only in Spanish. If I didn't have some meager Spanglish ability I would have been at a loss.

So, I muddled through, ordering a beer, a small ceviche, chips and salsa, and the chilaquiles with green salsa. I did not realize at the time that the ceviche came with chips and that the chilaquiles was also served over chips. The waitress, to her credit, realized the gringo probably didn't need chips and salsa to go with all my chips and well...salsa, so she never brought me those. When I inquired, she simply gestured around the table, like "how many more chips do you want?"

After the slow start, her service was fine. The beer was Corona, so no surprises there.

The ceviche was good, with a strong lime flavor, which I like. While it was not the best ceviche I have ever had (I am spoiled by all the Peruvian ceviche in Miami), it was very fresh and flavorful.

The chilaquiles (think shredded chicken nachos) were also very good. I loaded them up with a spicy salsa de habanero as well as a salsa rojo. Both kicked it up a notch.

I rated them 3 stars based on my impression as I walked in and was ignored, and also because I have had some amazing ceviche and Mexican food in my life, and while good, this was not amazing.

Not sure at this point if I would return or not.

      Marioli's is a wonderful restaurant.

Their food is excellent. Their tacos are sublime, their service is spectacular, the ambiance (especially at night) is reminiscent of family and friends gathered in celebration of every special moment in life. What really has been their most illustrious achievement is the empathy and compassion shown by it's owner, Mariana.

Now, during these days of instability due to Covid-19 and supply shortages in our supermarkets, Mariana has done something amazing to help both her community and suppliers. She has organized a "pantry" bundle filled with food staples for her community to purchase at a discounted price. Not only does this help the many of us who have found supplies hard to come by, but it ensures that her suppliers remain employed and in business, encouraging economic maintenance and growth. She is doing so in addition to her personal messages of reassurance reminding us all of what we can do to help each other and our local community. I sincerely hope that this catches on (other restaurant owners take note) because it has been helpful and so desperately needed by so many.

Thank you, Mariana and family, for all that you have done and all that you continue to do!

For more information on this "pantry" bundle visit Marioli's FaceBook page at https://www.facebook.com/Mariolicuisine/

      Forever a patron,

I am so glad I stopped by yesterday because I truly found an excellent little restaurant in Stone Oak. This place definitely takes pride and joy in preparing their delicious food and the place is situated for a quick in and out or a cafe lounging type setting. I got to try the street tacos which they have everyday after 6 pm. EXCELLENT! I also had a side of rice and FIDEO and was loving every taste of it.

The owner understands her clientele and caters to everyone from sandwiches and muffins to FIDEO and tacos, there is something for everyone at Marioli. It is also a family friendly establishment and there is a nice patio seating outside for those who want to eat outside with a nice night breeze. Stop by sometime, you won't be disappointed!

One and done. I think that's self explanatory but I'll provide details for those who would like to know. We'd always wanted to try Marioli since we had heard good things about it. Recently, a local video review by Eatmigos surfaced and it convinced us we should finally go. 7pm on a Saturday, one occupied table inside, two outside. Chips and salsa were brought to the table. The salsa was smoky, but not because the tomatoes were roasted or charred- they seemed like diced canned tomatoes with smoky paprika added. Not something we enjoyed. To start, we ordered queso fundido with the addition of chorizo for $9. The cheese is clearly microwaved, and it wasn't even melted all the way through, with some room temperature chorizo sprinkled on top. Not nearly as good as other places that offer similar. We decided to do the All-you-can-eat street tacos for $15 each- not because we were starving, but because we wanted to try different kinds and our waitress said we could only order two kinds, two of each, otherwise. She said we could choose tacos with this option. I asked to skip the potatoes, DH asked to skip the mole. Wrong orders came out twice before we got something close to what we asked for, but still wrong. We decided for the next round, we'd get the ones we liked and the ones they didn't bring us the first time. The outdoor diners were gone by then, but two more tables filled inside. Wow that order took forrrreverrr! We had to flag down our waitress, who was now serving all four tables, for more drinks. She forgot so we asked someone else. We also watched her bring the wrong orders twice to the table beside ours. There were at least 4-5 people working there, but it seemed very disorganized with one person covering four tables.
The tacos: pastor was far too salty, the mole had nice flavor but was much too thick (like chocolate frosting), the bisteca tasted like the meat was off so we skipped those be safe, the tinga was nice but full of whole peppercorns that we kept picking out of our mouths, the chicharron tacos were rubbery and oversauced... you get the picture.
All for a total of $52 dollars for extremely mediocre tacos and poor service. We were there for over 2 hours. We spent less time at Fleming's last night, but that was time well spent. Marioli got our $52 for the first and last time.

Went to have lunch with my husband .. he raves about the street tacos and wow!! Not
Only the street tacos but let's talk about the chicken tortilla soup, the kids tacos with a Fideo option and dessert for the child! Chips and salsa were fantastic and I can't wait to go back and try some enchiladas and more of the fabulous menu! Being from Southern California we search for Mexican the way we have it at home... found it! The service is warm, the ambiance is so pleasing and I'm inviting... shared with a friend who had a local favorite recently close... this will be our go
      To!

This is a special Mexican restaurant. Special not only because they serve authentic interior Mexican but also because it is home style authentic Mexican.

Not that it is perfect: the menu is somewhat limited. Prices are above average, especially for sweet bread. And most of the stuff they sell is not made in the moment but refrigerated and heated. But it's like coming home to a 'reclaentado'.

My favorites at Marioli are their Tacos al Pastor (served in the evenings), Enchiladas, Sopes de tinga (pulled chicken), Sopa de Fideos (Mexican pasta with tomato sauce) and their sweets - which include sweat bread, chocolate covered cereal (try it!) and other pastries.

Probably not the best Mexican in Texas or in San Antonio, but definitely a place you should try.

We stumbled across this place by accident. It was amazing! Everything tastes freshly made. They have a lot of drink and beer options. We got the costra with cochinita pibil served with corn tortillas. It was amazing! I love the healthy option to get tacos de lechuga (lettuce wraps). The dessert options looked so good we couldn't say no. I wish we lived on this side of town to visit more often. Any place that has all you can eat street tacos is worth a visit!
