Àwọn Ìbejì jẹ́ àwọn ọmọ méjì tí ìyá wọn lóyún papọ̀, wọ́n lè jẹ́ obìnrin meji, ọkùnrin méjì tàbi ọkùnrin kan àti obìnrin kan. Àwọn ìbejì le ti àti inú ẹyin kan jade tàbí láti inú ẹyin ọ̀tọ̀ọ̀tọ̀.[1] Àwọn tí ó jáde láti inú ẹyin kan ma ń jo ara wọn, wọ́n sì ma ń jẹ́ ọkùnrin méjì tàbí obìnrin méjì. Ní igbamiran(ìṣẹ̀lẹ̀ yí kò wọ́pọ̀), àwọn ìbejì kan le ní baba méjì ọ̀tọ̀ọ̀tọ̀.
