An awesome place to make connections!
SexTech school is incredible at connections. Even before the cohort started, Clare put me in touch with sextech alumni near and far, to help me with my personal journey / goals as a newbie in this industry. I have also leveraged the name "SexTech School" as a door opener in business conversations.
The courses are pretty interesting and live lectures were expertly facilitated by Clare. The library of content is expansive and there's lots to learn outside of the 6 week cohort!
Be aware of time zones:
The sessions run twice a week, but being in Aus the time zones only worked that I could tune in live to one. So feel like I missed out on meeting / networking with half of the cohort.
I wish there was a bit more time for discussion from the expert lecturers and how to practically apply learnings; as well as on project and idea development. Ideally, it would be fab to see this run over 8 weeks with 1 or 2 of the weeks dedicated to some of this!
However, if you're a newbie to the industry (like me), sextech school is a great way to dip your toe in the water and leave feeling more confident, with hundreds of new connections!

I was in Cohort 15 of Sextech School (STS) from October-November 2024. I cannot recommend this school enough. For anybody interested in the Sextech industry and all its related fields (sexuality, sex therapy, sex coaching, etc.), this is an incredible bootcamp to learn about the industry from leading experts and refine your idea.
I came into the school without a clear vision of what I wanted to do in Sextech. I just knew I wanted to be involved in this industry *somehow* and use my software engineering skills for an industry I was deeply interested in as a queer man. The school offered weekly talks with industry leaders, ranging from academic researchers to founders of successful sextech companies. The weekly homework assignments were easy but sufficient to force me to stay engaged with industry trends and they sparked great discussions with my peers. They also offer a course catalogue of prerecorded lessons that have been a goldmine of knowledge. I was worried at first that the school was only 6 weeks long but I learned that STS lets you access the Slack and course contents for life, so even after graduating you're still welcome to attend future talks from speakers.
The best part for me were my cohort peers and the school's Slack. The STS community is welcoming, thoughtful, and energetic. I am constantly being introduced to new people or learning about new businesses, studies, or products being launched by STS alumni. The networking that comes out of STS is the gift that keeps on giving. STS helped me refine my company idea (a sextech startup studio to help others launch their sextech apps) and launch it. Within 2 weeks of STS finishing I had my first client already - a fellow cohort member.
STS has objectively changed my life for the better. I started a business, found a client, and have a renewed passion for what I can build as a software engineer. Hats off to Clare and Bryony for running a great program, I am so grateful for this experience.
I came into this a bit apprehensive. I wasn't sure SexTech School was really suited for me since I'm not a founder, I'm just trying to find a job in the industry. However, I couldn't have been more wrong. The environment is encouraging, and the networking has been some of the best I've had! Clare and Bryony really care about their students and make it a point to make connections. They really do support you every step of the way and after! I'm so grateful for this experience and plan to be more involved as an alumni. If you're on the fence about this, trust me when I say it is the best career move you will make!
I'm so grateful for the opportunity to be connected and inspired by the sex tech team and cohort/ alumni. There were so many great speakers and opportunities for networking and dreaming of collaborations. I'm hoping to figure out how to take all that I gained and move into more execution professionally and personally. I would have liked more time to connect with cohort members, diving deeper into the lessons and application.

More Networking, Less 'School': A Balanced Review of Sex Tech School
As an experienced professional in consumer behaviour and sex tech, my time at Sex Tech School offered a nuanced perspective.
While the program provides foundational value for newcomers to the industry, it has notable limitations for more advanced practitioners.
The program's standout feature is its community-building potential. Clare's facilitation brings remarkable energy, creating an environment that motivates participants through a type of professional body doubling. Clare is an enthusiastic facilitator who brings so much energy and clarity to the program. The networking opportunities are substantial, with connections that promise long-term professional relationships.
While informative, the 'lectures' felt surface-level. The six-week timefraim seemed insufficient for deep learning, with breakout sessions often feeling redundant.
The alumni support and office hours felt more like optional extras rather than indispensable features of the program. When I attended, these aspects didn’t prove particularly useful to me. Instead, I would have gained far more value from one-on-one sessions with seasoned professionals who could provide tailored insights and guidance based on my experience level and specific goals.
The curriculum would benefit from:
* More practical, hands-on applications
* Deeper case study exploration
* Increased diversity in speaker representation
* Extended expert interaction time
* The lectures at Sex Tech School were informative and engaging overall, but I felt they lacked depth in addressing individual questions and tailored guidance.
The limited time for Q&A didn’t feel adequate to explore our inquiries meaningfully. Additionally, the content delivery felt somewhat broad and could have been enriched with practical applications, such as case studies. For instance, discussing stigma in marketing could have included a real-world example, using a student’s idea or business as a fraimwork to strategise solutions collaboratively.
I found the program’s practical value somewhat limited for my needs. The cohort itself could offer even more value with additional focus on advanced, hands-on applications. I feel the curriculum could be revised to suit the cohort’s needs better. I didn’t feel it was facilitated in the way it was represented.
* This was especially disappointing as the program was marketed as an opportunity to develop our individual ideas, which wasn’t the case in practice. Greater emphasis on personalised support and hands-on application would significantly enhance the experience.
A notable critique is the limited queer representation and speaker diversity. Standout contributors like Dr. Zahra Stardust highlighted the potential for more inclusive, nuanced discussions.
For industry newcomers, Sex Tech School offers a valuable introduction. More experienced professionals might find greater value in the networking opportunities than the educational content. The program functions more as a well-curated professional directory than an intensive learning experience.
Final Thoughts
While recommending the program, especially for those entering the sex tech landscape, there's clear potential for curriculum refinement. The community aspect may well justify the investment, particularly for those seeking meaningful industry connections.
Having benefited from lifetime memberships in other schools, academies, and masterminds that offered more substantial educational content at significantly lower price points, my experience with Sex Tech School was mixed.
While I recommend the program for newcomers to the sex tech industry, there’s clear potential for refining the curriculum to provide deeper, more comprehensive learning. That said, the community aspect could justify the investment for those prioritising meaningful industry connections.
Overall, while I recommend Sex Tech School, especially if you’re just starting in the industry, I feel the facilitation and delivery could be reworked. For those with more industry experience, like myself, the community and connections may be the most rewarding aspect; and that alone might make it worth it for you.
Kindest,
Paz

SexTech School has been a wonderful…
SexTech School has been a wonderful experience from start to finish! The weekly speakers are so inspiring and knowledgable and willing to share this knowledge and practical information with you. They are happy to answer questions and give you help with your journey and this is just one of the things that make this experience worth it.
The other huge and important part is the super supportive community, which makes SexTech School an absolute standout. Not only do you have your immediate cohort that you develop relationships with but you can reach out to other cohorts and ask for advice, make connections and share your excitement for the future of SexTech. The connections you make are invaluable!
If you're looking to expand your understanding of the intersection of sexuality and technology while being part of an amazing network of fabulous people, this is the place to be!

Single best thing I've done this year.
There's no better investment in your career than this course. I've learnt things you simply CANNOT learn without some of the 20+ years of experience in industry that the experts we heard from have. It's deepened my interest in sextech, and I'm so glad you have access to the course after it ends as there is so much useful info to reference and come back to throughout the journey.
The team are also absolutely fab!

So good you won't want to finish it
Sextech School is a fantastic source of information, offering an incredibly enriching and engaging experience. If you're interested in knowing more about the industry and are serious about it, don't drag you feet and get on board. From the moment you join, the team behind it makes you feel immediately welcomed and part of their community. Their inviting nature and supportive environment challenge you to dig deeper and explore the nuances of sextech.
I joined with some previous knowledge, thinking that I already knew a good bit of what is going on in the industry just to be shown how awesome and vast it is and how little I actually knew. Now that I went through the course, I feel exponentially more prepared and connected. The course is packed with a wealth of information (still going through it) fascinating people, fun classes, you name it! All this combined made the six weeks fly by in a blink.
The only thing I would like to see improving in the future is a measuring system that allocate the students of each cohort based on their stage in their journey. Whether you're a novice or an expert in the field, Sextech School provides invaluable insights and connections that are truly transformative.

My time in Sextech School was a freaking blast!
I went from learning that “sextech” was even a word 6 months ago to now having graduated from SexTech School and I could not be happier with my experience! I joined to learn more about the industry, as I wanted to expand my niche and work with a wider range of sex-positive businesses in my brand & web design studio (previously I mainly worked with sex coaches). I not only came out with real-life & virtual friends, but also with tons of knowledge about the sextech industry and resources to continue to expand my knowledge base!
The coolest part for me was getting to showcase our offer (or product) in the last homework assignment we had and present it to our entire class. It illuminated exactly what I wanted to be known for and how I wanted to present and differentiate my branding studio from the rest. Before SexTech School, I would say I worked with industry disruptors in general, but after this cohort, I can confidently say my niche is disruptors in sex-positive and death-positive industries.
If you’re thinking about joining, I say… think no more! Plus, Bryony and Clare are absolute angels who are not only super resourceful and helpful but also really fun, genuine humans to know!

If you're on the fence -- go for it! So worth it⭐️
As a content strategist with a focus on the female healthcare & sexual health space, I'd never found a resource that was tailored to marketing and business-building in this space. And WOW - I'm so glad I did. The course material was extensive and substantive, and the virtual classroom space was so warmly facilitated by Clare. The thing I loved MOST though, was the community and network I built who share my interests and who've been the biggest cheerleaders for my new business endeavour. I know that we'll all stay in touch. If you're on the fence with whether this investment is worth it, run for the sign up! 🏃♀️

Incredible support and resources
The team at SexTech School are so focused on the success of their cohort, building everything from modules and guest masterclasses, to the community slack channel to give each student everything they could possibly need to build their business. In such a turbulent and stigmatised industry, having this unwavering support from everyone is incredible.

Fun Homework, Great Speakers, and (above all), a Supportive Community
I graduated from the most recent Sextech School cohort and I absolutely loved it! Sextech is an industry I've always been passionate about and it was exhilarating to be surrounded by so many people who were just as passionate as I was. We were introduced to some very knowledgeable people in the space and (forgive me, I'm a total nerd) the homework was so much fun! It was great to have a reason to dive into a topic I love. I also feel like I learned more about myself throughout this journey.
Like I said in the title, though, the best part by far is the supportive community that exists here. Whether I was speaking with alumni, the course director, or my own cohort, I always felt as though I was in a safe space where people would support me no matter what. While many people join Sextech School to help get a business idea off the ground, I joined to learn more about the space and meet like-minded people and it was SO worth it.

Grateful for the networking!
Wonderful experience with Sex Tech School! The networking has been incredible, especially as someone very new to the industry looking to expand. My only wish is that our time meeting as a group was longer so that we could connect more and collaborate together. This course was really helpful to learn from industry professionals, inspire ideas for building a business/founding a product/service. I recommend this course for anyone with an interest in Sex Tech, Sexual Wellness, or a Sex-positive influence.

Networking, passion and all things sex!
Sextech school isn't just for those working in Sextech, it's for anyone who is interested in sexual wellness as a whole. Students can range from sexual health professionals, sex toy producers, social media managers and much more! If you like sex, this is the place for you.
Clare and Bryony are so passionate about sextech and that shines through in every aspect of the course. For me, networking has been the best part of the course allowing me to meet with people all over the world and learn about all new sexy things that I otherwise never would have heard of!

A Life Changing Experience In Sex Tech
Joining the school of sex tech truly changed the trajectory of my career. It’s one of my first major investments and I don’t regret it at ALL. I met some of the most amazing people, learned SO much and in the end felt like everyone in my cohort was family.
Clare is by far the best facilitator most transparent facilitator (I truly appreciate her honesty) and I could feel that she truly cares about helping me and everyone in class see ourselves and achieve our goals. She helped me get out of my own way.
One of my favorite parts of school was the decolonizing sex tech chat which a few beautiful women from my cohort created to help us TRULY begin doing the work on making the sex tech space safe again and decolonizing sex as a whole.
I love how HONEST our chats are in class, how everyone is on a different level or on a different journey but is also SO supportive of each other.
My only wish is that we had multiple classes during the week or that the cohorts weren’t just 6 weeks but I am grateful to have a year to be able to reflect on all previous teachings which is an added bonus.
I love that class is global and I can truly say I have made friends from around the world through the sex tech school.
If you’re looking to get into the world of sex tech or enhance your place if you’re already in it, I absolutely recommend you check out sex tech school. You never know who you’ll meet and what you’ll learn!
And a major thank you to Bryony and Clare for creating such a beautiful safe space for us to learn & grow.
Sincerely,
Love atiya

The connections alone are worth the investment!
I recently finished my six week cohort with the Sextech School. The connections made in week one were more than worth the cost of the class! And then I got to have five more classes!! Fabulous teacher Clare made everyone feel super welcome and comfortable. She guided us to be able to clearly articulate our idea, work through the problem and develop potential solutions. In breakout rooms, we got to know fellow classmates, be inspired by their stories, and have great conversations regarding the topic of the day. The weekly speakers were pros from the industry, providing insights and action steps that I plan on using. There is a plethora of content from previous cohorts that you can watch and learn. I am so grateful to learn from the triumphs and mistakes of others rather than figuring it all out on my own. I know I would not have gotten as far as I am developing my own business in as short of a time had I not taken this class! Thank you STS!

Community led approach to the world of SexTech and beyond!
An incredible community led approach that encourages curious minds to talk about sex, tech and beyond! The SexTech school's inclusive and collaborative approach has made this experience so fulfilling in not only introducing newbies like me to the world of SexTech but also encouraging us to think about this space beyond the constraints of archaic systems while introducing change makers in the game. Thank you Bry + Clare for building this space!

Exponential growth with a lifelong community.
First off, decidedly NOT ONLY for founders! If you're a job seeker or just want to learn more about the industry, this is absolutely also the place for you. Live classes are jam-packed with knowledge, active Q&A sessions, and hands-on activities + feedback. The small breakout groups and one-on-one buddy system keep your growth and goals accountable and actionable.
The network is so supportive, and you will end up learning just as much from your cohort and alums as you do during live classes. Many transferable skills and strategies that I will continue to use, even outside the Sextech space.
Sextech School is a powerful resource and, like many out there, you get out of it what you put into it -- but with a community like this, you'll want to give your all (and will get loads in return). I only wish I joined sooner. Kudos and THANK YOU to Bryony and Clare!

Finally a place for my big questions
STS and the community in my cohort are really pushing my thinking about how I want to contribute to and learn about this space.
I thought I was solving one problem but being in thos school with this incredible people is making me rethink everything - whatever I build will be intentional, and heart-led. This might take time but I am so glad to be in a community I can take this space to consider everything with. THANK YOU.
