The Department of Educational, School, and Counseling Psychology (EDP) offers four distinct program areas: educational psychology, school psychology, counseling psychology, and quantitative and psychometric methods. The MS and PhD programs in Educational Psychology provide a background in the applications of psychology to education that lead to research positions in higher education and other professional settings. The EdS and PhD programs in Counseling Psychology and School Psychology lead to certification and/or licensure. The PhD program in Counseling Psychology and the PhD program in School Psychology are both accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of the American Psychological Association (APA).  The PhD program in Quantitative and Psychometric Methods provides a background in the application and evaluation of statistical and psychometric tools used in psychology that aim to prepare students for industry, academia, government, and other professional settings

We have a strong, nationally recognized faculty who are committed to providing you a rewarding educational experience that will promote your professional development in a challenging but supportive and collaborative environment. As you view our four program areas, you will notice our commitment to structurally responsive services – both faculty and students in our department are passionate about this commitment and is reflected in both our scholarly and clinical work.
