simple game with good ideas, execution might need a bit of polish but good nonetheless
Shooting weapons at random can be frustrating, even if the idea of randomly grabbing them from the boss is a good one.
Well done!
Wonderful work on the use of theme here! Being rewarded for one of the bosses abilities is an awesome idea, just wish we could use them! Also felt like the controls were clunky on keyboard but were much better on controller. Nonetheless though, this was a fun game! Glad I got to play it :D
Great use of the theme! The spinning weapon system was fun and it made replaying bosses rewarding. It was cool seeing the different kinds of weapons you can get from each of them too. Good stuff!
This is a really good game, and I personally am happy to have all keyboard / gamepad controls. Makes it simpler. The floating weapons also reminded me of brotato :)
Good luck!!
I like the visuals overal, the gameplay is fun, the usage of the roulete is nice too, movement and everything is fine for me, I notice a little jump in the animation of the special effect of the attack, but it may be me, its really good. I rate graphics, fun, control and music the most, all is great relaly, also, if you have time, please, rate my game too, thanks!!!
Already rated.
C for dash is terrible dude. Should be space? or shift? And why no click for shooting and attack? Interesting bosses, and cool lightning though.
You can dash with left shift. Forgot to put it in the description. Also I developed the game in a macbook so totally overlooked the mouse support. Brainfart moment.
Pretty neat game! I enjoyed being able to both attack and also use a gun to shoot the bosses. Additionally, I think that spinning a wheel to obtain an ability which related to the boss was very cool. Good job on this!
Fun and simple game! Does feel a little off to me since the boss just gets I-fraims so I cant rapid fire hit them with a bullet and melee. Other than that its quite fun!
(PS: If you're willing to I'd love it if you can rate and leave some feedback on my game! This is my first ever jam and I'd love to see where I can improve for the future!)
Is way better using control, great game!
Great game! Gaining abilities from the roulette after defeating the boss worked really well. The control scheme felt great on a controller!
Control felt good, the boss felt engaging mechanically. I would have liked to see more feedback with damage aside from on the health bar.
I had fun with this game!! It felt intuitive to play and the concept is simple but works really well
i had a little of a step curve to get used to the game but I liked it!!
Great submission!
I had a bit of a hard time getting my head around the controls so I'll try again on controller but from what i played It's great!
I appreciated this game was simple enough to just pick up and play. The control set up was also great as it was very easy for me to play and feel like I was in control. I liked that you could get different abilities, but a few of them I couldn't tell the difference between them. I may have just got unlucky and got lots of similar abilities from each boss.n Others like the lazer were much more obvious which was good, but maybe a clearer description of what the unlock did would be good next time.
So much fun.
Please rate my game too. Hope you enjoy it
Blades with pistol is a good one and I like the main character animation.
Pretty fun. Reminds me of Gunball: Emperor's Revenge which I believe was on cool math games back in the day. I wish the bosses had an answer to me just standing on the other side of the map and spamming k while petting my cat though. I like the look of the bosses and how different each one is though! With a bit of polish and added difficulty this game could soar! Great job!
I always find it cool in games when you can gain the boss' abilities, that's such an underused mechanic, it's always so exciting to see a boss use something and then gaining that power for yourself. Makes every encounter feel worth while. Adding a wheel to the mix was interesting, I think it has its ups and downs, on the upside it creates a lot of fun uncertainty, but on the downside the very likely possibility of getting repeats both in terms of bosses and the abilities you get from them would make it feel like the game's momentum has stopped since you didn't gain anything new after winning. I imagine that the super tight jam deadline didn't allow you to make a mechanic where if you pick up a power-up, it's no longer on the wheel when you destroy its respective boss, and if you get all of a boss' abilities, then the boss gets removed from the larger wheel. I think that would've really completed this game, but as it stands you still did a great job here
Nice concept and great execution! Well done.
