That is great feedback, i noticed that while making it but this is my first time making a game and didn't know about jump buffer, but looking it up now, this would've been perfect.
Thank you for giving the game a go and the great advice

Really cool, i love the wheel that gives buffs and debuffs, that's a good way of keeping things unique.
I played on controller and I had quite a hard time getting used to the control scheme, but sort of got used to it so it was ok.
I really like the screen changes, looks really interesting.
It's a fun game, good job!
I love the paper cut out art style of the main character and bosses, looks great.
I like that the "spin" is like the bowser fight from mario 64, i haven't seen that done in the jam yet which is surprising since it's so iconic, i think you've implemented it your own way though and it feels fun.
good job!
Really fun game! The art is fantastic, i love the parallax background for the forest, looks really cool.
I love hollow knight and this feels alot like it, which is probably intentional, but it's one thing to be inspired by something and another to succeed in capturing what is good about it, which i think you've done.
Great job!
Honestly i think Margaret won that argument, she was making some good points.
I think the shoot direction being where you are facing is a bit hard to get used to and do properly, atleast for me.
The game has a lot of character though, normally I'll skip dialogue but it was pretty funny in this, good job!
I love the art so much, it looks fantastic.
The game plays well, the controls are nice and simple but there is a lot going on so it doesn't feel boring.
My only feedback would be maybe add a screenshake to show when you've been hit because i didn't realise i was taking damage.
The player colour changing when you're hit is usually atleast a good part of that but if you're looking at everything else on screen it can be hard to know if you've taken damage without some kind of screen wide feedback and a sound.
Game is fun though, good job!
I love it, one of the hardest things about games like these is getting the controls right but it's such a dream to play despite so much going on.
I love parry systems but sometimes they can feel a bit laggy or the timing for them is too long or too short but this is exactly right.
Really really cool game and I'd buy and play a bigger version. Great job!
