Day 1: Wednesday 13 November (8:30 AM to 5:30 PM) - including Keynote Speaker Ken Harding, NWS Chief Operating Officer
Day 2: Thursday 14 November (8:30AM to 4:45 PM)
Day 3: Friday 15 November (7:50 AM to 12PM)
All with an interest in operational meteorology are welcome! Presentations or posters on the following topics are encouraged: terrain effects, heavy precipitation, hydrology, tropical, winter & severe storms, fire weather, lake effect, modeling, observations, decision support services, probabilistic tools, social science in weather prediction and user response, enhancement of the forecast process, CSTAR-funded research, & the integration of new technology into operations including artificial intelligence. In-person presentations are preferred, but virtual presentation & participation will be available via GoToMeeting.
Abstract and registration will be via Google Form. Information regarding how to upload presentations will be provided after the abstract deadline. Presentations must be in Microsoft PowerPoint or Google Slides. Poster presenters are encouraged to submit a digital copy for inclusion on the conference webpage. Maximum dimensions for poster size are 56”(width) x 42”(height).
There is no registration fee but we ask attendees to register by Monday 4 November 2024 and submit abstracts by 4 pm EDT, Friday 18 October 2024. Oral presenters should upload their presentations by 4 pm EDT Friday 8 November 2024. Questions should be sent to the NROW Steering Committee, c/o Christina Speciale, e-mail: nws.er.nrow@noaa.gov. An abstract book will be available online, and posted at the conference webpage. For conference information, online registration, and hotel refer to http://www.weather.gov/aly/NROW25. There is no designated conference hotel. Hotel arrangements should be made by the attendee. Government employees should ensure selected hotels accept the government rate.
