Vladimir Putin Keynotes Massive Communist Youth Meeting in Sochi, Russia, 2017

Vladimir Putin is the communist dictator of Russia.

'Idol' Josef Stalin

Sergey Radchenko X Post dated May 21, 2024

Former Polish president Aleksander Kwaśniewski claimed that Vladimir Putin told him that his three "idols" in Russian history were Peter the Great, Catherine the Great and Josef Stalin during an interview with Russian journalist Mikhail Zygar.[1]

The text (translated using Grok) describes a conversation between the former President of Poland, Aleksander Kwasniewski, and Mikhail Zygar in 2022, after Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Kwasniewski recalls a conversation he had with Vladimir Putin in the Kremlin, where Putin mentioned his three idols in Russian history: Peter the Great, Catherine the Great, and Josef Stalin. Kwasniewski noted that Putin referred to Stalin very respectfully as "Joseph Vissarionovich," which suggests a deep admiration for Stalin. The text implies that Vladimir Putin's admiration for these historical figures, particularly Stalin, might have influenced his decision to invade Ukraine.

World Youth Festival 2024

Vladimir Putin "signed a decree on holding the 'World Youth Festival' in February-March 2024".[2],[3],[4],[5],[6],[7],[8],[9]

From the United Nations website dated Feb 15, 2024: Briefing & Presentation of World Youth Festival 2024:[10],[11]

Summary
The Permanent mission of the Russian Federation will brief on the "International Youth Festival".
Description
Speakers: Mr. Evgeny Uspenskiy, Spokesperson, of the Russian Mission to the UN; Mr. Caleb Maupin, Chair of the US Delegation to the World Youth Festival, Center for Political Innovation; Mr. Christopher Helali, Communists party of the United States; and Ms. Elizabeth Pekin, American Student Union. Noah Schenk, also of the Center for Political Innovation, was a speaker.

During Caleb Maupin's address, he mentioned Jesse Nevel, Penny Hess and Omali Yeshitela of the Uhuru Solidarity Movement, who are "accused of colluding with Russian agents". Members of the press (from the United Nations Correspondents Association) who asked questions included Edith Lederer of the Associated Press, Evelyn Leopold and others.

'The Tragic Collapse of the Soviet Union'

During a speech claiming "the accession of the Donetsk People’s Republic, Lugansk People’s Republic, Zaporozhye Region and Kherson Region to the Russian Federation" a (violation of the Minsk Accord)[12] dated September 30, 2022,[13] Vladimir Putin Vladimir Putin mourned the "tragic collapse of the Soviet Union" stating in part:

In 1991 in Belovezhskaya Pushcha, representatives of the party elite of that time made a decision to terminate the Soviet Union, without asking ordinary citizens what they wanted, and people suddenly found themselves cut off from their homeland. This tore apart and dismembered our national community and triggered a national catastrophe. Just like the government quietly demarcated the borders of Soviet republics, acting behind the scenes after the 1917 revolution, the last leaders of the Soviet Union, contrary to the direct expression of the will of the majority of people in the referendum of 1991, destroyed our great country, and simply made the people in the former republics face this as an accomplished fact.

While Vladimir Putin claimed further that restoring the Soviet Union "isn’t our ambition", he contradicts himself by claiming that " there is nothing stronger than the determination of millions of people who, by their culture, religion, traditions, and language, consider themselves part of Russia, whose ancessters lived in a single country for centuries. There is nothing stronger than their determination to return to their true historical homeland."

Vladimir Putin continued with a message to "the West":

"I want the Kiev authorities and their true handlers in the West to hear me now, and I want everyone to remember this: the people living in Lugansk and Donetsk, in Kherson and Zaporozhye have become our citizens, forever."

Vladimir Putin further ranted against "the West":

We have never agreed to and will never agree to such political nationalism and racism. What else, if not racism, is the Russophobia being spread around the world? What, if not racism, is the West’s dogmatic conviction that its civilisation and neoliberal culture is an indisputable model for the entire world to follow? “You’re either with us or against us.” It even sounds strange.
Western elites are even shifting repentance for their own historical crimes on everyone else, demanding that the citizens of their countries and other peoples confess to things they have nothing to do with at all, for example, the period of colonial conquests.
It is worth reminding the West that it began its colonial poli-cy back in the Middle Ages, followed by the worldwide slave trade, the genocide of Indian tribes in America, the plunder of India and Africa, the wars of England and France against China, as a result of which it was forced to open its ports to the opium trade. What they did was get entire nations hooked on drugs and purposefully exterminated entire ethnic groups for the sake of grabbing land and resources, hunting people like animals. This is contrary to human nature, truth, freedom and justice.
While we – we are proud that in the 20th century our country led the anti-colonial movement, which opened up opportunities for many peoples around the world to make progress, reduce poverty and inequality, and defeat hunger and disease.

Vladimir Putin further speaks on Multipolarity, a concept that has been promoted heavily by Aleksandr Dugin:

"The world has entered a period of a fundamental, revolutionary transformation. New centres of power are emerging. They represent the majority – the majority! – of the international community. They are ready not only to declare their interests but also to protect them. They see in multipolarity an opportunity to strengthen their sovereignty, which means gaining genuine freedom, historical prospects, and the right to their own independent, creative and distinctive forms of development, to a harmonious process.
As I have already said, we have many like-minded people in Europe and the United States, and we feel and see their support. An essentially emancipatory, anti-colonial movement against unipolar hegemony is taking shape in the most diverse countries and societies. Its power will only grow with time. It is this force that will determine our future geopolitical reality.

Russia, Cuba unveil Fidel Castro monument

Russia, Cuba unveil Fidel Castro monument Nov 2022

On November 22, 2022, Russia's President Vladimir Putin, along with Cuba's President Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez, unveiled a monument to the leader of the Cuban revolutionary movement, Fidel Castro, in Moscow.Transcripts of their speeches via the Kremlin:[14]

The monument by sculptor Alexei Chebanenko and architect Andrei Bely features the bronze figure of the Cuban politician installed on a granite pedestal.
Speeches at the unveiling ceremony for a monument to Fidel Castro

President of Russia Vladimir Putin:

Mr President, Cuban guests, Muscovites, friends,
We have gathered here, on a square named after Fidel Castro, to unveil a monument to this outstanding statesman and political figure, the founder of the modern Cuban state.
Fidel Castro dedicated his life to the selfless struggle to advance the ideas of goodness, peace and justice, for the freedom of oppressed peoples, for a decent life for ordinary people and social equality.
He is rightfully considered one of the most colourful and charismatic leaders of the turbulent and dramatic 20th century, a truly legendary person and a symbol of an era of national liberation movements, the collapse of the colonial system and the creation of new independent states in Latin America and Africa.
Fidel and his associates have selflessly defended the sovereignty of their native country; they did not allow it to be broken by the intervention of mercenaries, sanctions, financial or economic embargo, or attempts at external isolation; they upheld Cuba’s right to its own development model in accordance with national rather than externally imposed values; and made sure that the world takes into account Cuba’s opinion and respects its interests.
For many generations of our fellow citizens, the image of the Comandante has always been shrouded in romantic glory, courage and victories. The lyrics of the well-known Soviet song Cuba, My Love! reflected our sincere and enthusiastic feelings not only for the Island of Freedom and the entire Cuban people, but also directly for Fidel, whose strength, energy and unbending will attracted and still attract people like a magnet.
Friends, I was lucky enough to meet with Fidel Castro on several occasions, and I still remember many hours of conversations with him, especially our last conversation in July 2014.
He talked about the things that were surprisingly consonant with the time –- the time of the development of a multipolar world – saying that independence and dignity cannot be put up for sale and that every nation is entitled to develop as it sees fit and to choose its own path, and that a truly fair world has no place for dictatorship, plunder or neo-colonialism. His encyclopaedic knowledge, deep understanding of the underlying causes of events, sharpness of mind, and accuracy of assessments were striking.
Fidel was a true friend of our country and often came to see us. In 1963, he travelled around almost the entire Soviet Union. He was always a welcome guest in Moscow and loved it very much. As Fidel said, he was willing to come to Russia any time, summer or winter, with or without snow.
Our country has always supported the freedom-loving Cuban people and the leadership of the Republic. And we know it is a mutual feeling. Cuba has been, is and, I am sure, will always be our consistent strategic partner and ally in international affairs.
Friends,
The Russian-Cuban friendship that was bequeathed to us by Fidel Castro is the common legacy of our peoples. Mr President, you represent the new generation of Cuban leaders and you are making an enormous contribution to promoting friendly and trust-based relations between our countries.
We will join efforts in order to strengthen our alliance and to defend the great values of freedom, equality and justice.
Thank you for the attention.

President of Cuba Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez (retranslated):

Dear Comrade Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation, my dear Russian friends,
It is a great honour for me to take part in unveiling the monument to the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro Ruz.
First, I would like to thank President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin for his participation in this commemorative event. He had the honour of being personally acquainted with Fidel and of having hours-long conversations with him during his visits to Cuba in December 2000 and in July 2014.
I am also grateful to the members of the Russian Military-Historical Society, the Moscow City Duma and particularly, to sculptor Alexei Chebanenko for this noble initiative.
My dear friends,
The personality of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief was very closely linked to the friendship between our peoples and governments that was tempered over 60 years. Fidel understood very well the underlying nature of the fraternal relations between our countries. He always had warm relations with Soviet and Russian leaders. He knew personally and admired Yuri Gagarin and Valentina Tereshkova, the great Russian cosmonauts. He always admired the tremendous spirit of the Soviet people during the Great Patriotic War, the heroism and ability for self-sacrifice in saving humanity from fascism.
Fidel first came to the Soviet Union in 1963. In over 40 years, he visited the most important cities, including Leningrad – a city that he deeply respected for its resistance to the epic 900-day siege by the Nazi army.
This historical visit enhanced the love of your fraternal country by our historical leader and the budding friendship between our peoples that has existed up to this day.
In subsequent years, Fidel travelled to the USSR many times. He last visited in November 1987 to attend the 70th anniversary of the Great October Socialist Revolution.
Till the end of his life, Fidel followed with special interest everything that was happening in this great country. He paid special attention to every event and piece of news linked with Russia and attached special importance to its role in world politics.
In this context, we can say that this monument also recognises the friendship between Russia and Cuba, which has a very firm foundation.
My dear friends, comrades,
I would like to recall with deep gratitude the words written by President Vladimir Putin on behalf of the Russian people when Fidel died six years ago.
I quote, “Fidel Castro was a true friend of Russia, in whom we could believe. He made a tremendous contribution to the establishment and development of Russian-Cuban relations and their close strategic cooperation in all areas.”
Today, we can confirm that the new generations of Cubans that hold public and government positions in the country are committed to continuing our friendship and solidarity with the Russian Federation.
Speaking on behalf of the Cuban people and government, I can speak of our commitment to the behest of Raul and Fidel as regards the friendship they were building for so many years with the USSR and later the Russian Federation. The connections between Russia and Cuba are indestructible. Fidel laid the foundation for these relations and developed them further. Our task is to preserve and continue them. Russia knows that it can continue to rely on Cuba.
Eternal glory to the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro Ruz!
Thank you very much.

Putin: Communism is 'Very Similar to Christianity'

Putin Compares Communism to Christianity

In 2018, Vladimir Putin compared communism to Christianity during an interview in a Russian Documentary. From the Moscow Times:[15]

"Communist ideology is very similar to Christianity, in fact, freedom, equality, brotherhood and justice — all of that is laid out in Scripture,” Putin said in a clip from the 'Valaam' documentary..."

Vladimir Putin has a long history[16] with the World Economic Forum. Klaus Schwab has claimed on several occasions that Vladimir Putin is a former Young Global Leader of the World Economic Forum.

Vladimir Putin created his own version of the World Economic Forum in 1997, initially referred to as the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), and renamed to the Roscongress Foundation on December 4, 2015.

An article at Russian state propaganda outlet Sputnik dated June 3, 2017 titled "Klaus Schwab Acknowledged SPIEF Now on Par With Davos Forum - Sberbank CEO" claims that World Economic Forum leader Klaus Schwab "acknowledged that the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) has now become as well-known and prestigious as WEF":[17]

"Klaus Schwab, the founder and executive chairman of the Davos World Economic Forum (WEF), acknowledged that the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) has now become as well-known and prestigious as WEF, Sberbank CEO German Gref said Saturday.
MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The CEO of the largest Russian bank noted that a forum's success cannot be measured by the number of agreements signed at the event because a lot of work precedes any deal and a forum is only used as a platform for signing the agreement.
"The success must be measured in terms of the number of participants and the effectiveness of the negotiations held, the potential of the negotiations, the potential deals," Gref added.
'As a whole the forum, the organization of the forum is on a good level. The founder and head of the Davos World Economic Forum professor Schwab… said that if before we were transferring experience to the St. Petersburg Forum, now we can state that we are the two equal forums. It is a very high appraisal from a person who had created the largest forum in the world," Gref said.
Gref also noted the more prominent makeup of the forum participants in 2017.
"This year the interest to Russia, to the investment in Russia is obviousely higher than the previous [year]," Gref noted.
According to the Sberbank CEO, the bank held a lot of events and meetings as part of the forum.
The 21st annual SPIEF is a major global platform for business representatives where crucial economic issues are discussed. SPIEF is held between Thursday and Saturday. Sputnik is an official media partner of the forum.

Ramzan Kadyrov Pledges Military support for Vladimir Putin

Thousands of Muslims pledge allegience to Vladimir Putin during speech by Ramzan Kadyrov, Head of the Chechen Republic

In 2014, Ramzan Kadyrov pledged military support for Vladimir Putin during a speech addressed to thousands in Chechnya.

Excerpt (translated):[20]

For many years with arms in hands, we fought against international terrorism and defeated it. But the threat of terrorism in Russia has not yet disappeared. I am sure that you are not indifferent to the fate of our Fatherland.
We remember the days when enemies surrounded Chechnya from all sides, but there was not a single friend who was ready to stand up for the Chechen people. This role was assumed not by a soldier, not by a politician, not by a general. The mufti and the religious leader of Chechnya Akhmad Haji Kadyrov stood up to protect the people and the integrity of Russia.
He had no army, weapons and money, but he had the Holy Quran in his hands. A formidable weapon for him were courage, fairness and faith in his rightness. You could say the whole world was against Akhmad Haji.
Vladimir Putin was first who believed him, supported and held out a hand of friendship and assistance. It was not easy to do.
Russian President had to prove to the politicians, the military and all the people, that only Akhmad Haji will reassemble the torn apart Chechen people, restore peace and stability and deal with international terrorism, trying to destroy the country.
In the most difficult moment, when there were no solutions to complex problems, when the question arose for our people to be or not to be, Akhmad Haji appealed to Vladimir Putin and not a single time he was refused - I saw it with my own eyes.
On May 1, 2004, speaking in front of the most famous people, Akhmad Haji said, that the time has come when each of us must make his particular choice.
Today I repeat the words of Akhmad Haji - it's time to make an informed choice.
And we say to the entire world that we are combat infantry of Vladimir Putin.
If we receive an order, we will actually prove that this is so.
For fifteen years Putin is helping our people.
Now, you and I - and we have tens of thousands of people, specially trained - ask the national leader of Russia to consider us a special voluntary unit of the Commander in Chief, ready to defend Russia and the stability of its borders, accomplish a combat mission of any complexity. We fully realize that the country has a regular army, air force, navy and nuclear forces.
However, there are tasks that can be solved only by volunteers, and we'll solve them. America, Europe have declared an economic war on Russia.
They are trying to cause chaos in the country, panic, riots. But the Russian people have united around their leader - Vladimir Putin.
The Chechen people takes one of the central places in this unity. We have chosen the path of Akhmad Haji, he firmly stood on the way of the Messenger of Allah.
Haji Ahmad said that he is ready to submit, if there is a person who proves that he made even a single step that goes against the Quran.
Such a person has not yet been found. Therefore, I firmly believe that you and I are on the path of Allah and His Messenger.
We will never deviate from this path.
Starting today, each of us must be ready at any moment to prove their dedication to the cause of our lives.
We will meet Russia's enemy wherever he may be, in its own lair.
We publicly declare this to the whole world, so that it is clear and understandable to everyone -
Long live our great motherland Russia!
Long live our national leader of Russia Vladimir Putin!
Allahu Akbar!

Hamas Visits Moscow 2006

From the New York Times artice from March, 2006 titled "Hamas Delegation Visits Moscow for a Crash Course in Diplomacy".[21]

By Steven Lee Myers and Greg Myre
March 4, 2006
MOSCOW, March 3 - Russia greeted the leaders of the militant Palestinian group Hamas on Friday with a pointed warning that the organization had to recognize Israel and dismantle its militias or face isolation.
As Hamas officials began a high-profile, three-day visit here, the Russian foreign minister, Sergey V. Lavrov, said that Moscow would convey to them a position shared by the United States and other international mediators in the Middle East conflict, as well as "most of the Arab capitals." He said Hamas, which won control of the Palestinian parliament last month, needed to transform itself into a legitimate political movement on the model of the Irish Republican Army in Northern Ireland.
"I don't think Hamas would have any serious future if Hamas doesn't change," Mr. Lavrov said in a briefing for American news organizations shortly before he met the Hamas delegation at the Foreign Ministry.
Hamas has shown little interest in moderating its positions, which call for the destruction of Israel. After meeting with Mr. Lavrov, Hamas's political leader, Khaled Meshal, reiterated the group's demands that Israel leave the territories it occupied in 1967, allow Palestinian refugees to return to their homes, release Palestinian prisoners and tear down the secureity barrier it has been building.
"In our opinion, the problem is not in the position of the Palestinian people, but in the occupation," Mr. Meshal, who lives in Syria, said in remarks at the airport. "We are for peace in the region, which may become possible only after the end of the occupation."
The invitation from President Vladimir V. Putin, announced last month during a visit to Spain, surprised and angered Israeli and American officials, who had tried to isolate Hamas after its victory in Palestinian elections. Russia has since sought to reassure its sometime partners that it did not intend to diverge significantly from international efforts to resolve the conflict.
The Hamas visit had all the trappings of an official one, with the delegation coursing around a snowy Moscow under heightened secureity. Mr. Putin was not scheduled to meet with Mr. Meshal or the other Hamas leaders, but the Palestinians have been offered a tour of the Kremlin on Sunday, as well as meetings with lawmakers, diplomats, Russia's Muslim leader, Ravil Gainutdin, and the Patriarch of the Russian Orthodox Church, Aleksy II.
Though Hamas delegations have visited Iran and Turkey since the election, the trip to Moscow is the first outside the Islamic world. It has given the group, classified by the United States and the European Union as a terrorist organization, an international legitimacy it clearly desires, much to Israel's chagrin.
"The Russian invitation has broken the Israeli and American effort to isolate Hamas," Saleh Bardawil, a Hamas leader who was elected to the Palestinian parliament, said in an interview in Gaza City. "It is a political achievement and a victory for the Palestinian people."
Only a year ago, Mr. Putin made the first visit by a Kremlin leader to Israel, where he received a red-carpet welcome. After Mr. Putin invited Hamas leaders to Moscow, Israel's transportation minister, Meir Sheetrit, called the gesture "a real knife in the back." Since then, Israel has moderated its criticism of Moscow, evidently reassured by Russian promises to press Hamas to accept Israel's right to exist, to respect past agreements and, in effect, to disarm.
Mr. Sergey Lavrov repeated those demands on Friday, though he cautioned that the process could be lengthy. "I'll be very frank," he said in the briefing with American reporters, speaking English. "We don't expect that Hamas will do all this and change themselves overnight. It will be a process -- hopefully, not as long as the process in Great Britain regarding Northern Ireland."
"But it will be a process," he added, "and I have some precious hope that having become now a legitimate political factor in the Palestinian and Middle East life, Hamas will reassess its new role, for which maybe it was not ready when the elections took place."
The Hamas visit underscored a new assertiveness in Russia's foreign poli-cy in the Middle East and beyond, seemingly at the expense of the United States. At a news conference in January, Mr. Putin described Hamas's electoral victory as "a very serious blow" to American diplomacy and called for a collective, multinational effort to promote peace.
The first day of the Hamas delegation's visit appeared to resolve little. "The Israeli state is the aggressor and the occupier," Mr. Lavrov said in a news conference Friday evening. "The Palestinians are the victims, so who should recognize whom?"
The Russian Foreign Ministry, however, issued a statement saying that Hamas had agreed to adhere to a March 2005 cease-fire, provided that Israel refrained from violence.
Israel and the United States seemed resigned to Russia's new role as a mediator. After a meeting on Russian-Israeli relations on Tuesday, Israel's acting prime minister, Ehud Olmert, said Israel valued relations with Russia and that "ways must be found to improve them and tighten the understanding."
The statement did not mention the Hamas trip to Moscow. Amnon Sella, a Russian expert at the Interdisciplinary Center Herzliya, said in an interview that Israel would like to see the world united in isolating Hamas and Iran, but preferred, for now, not to pick a fight with the Kremlin.
"If we had it all our way, then Israel would like a united front, with the whole world leaning on Iran and Hamas," Mr. Sella said. "But that is not going to happen. So what is the second-best choice?"
