Good morning. A Freeze Warning continues for Volusia and Lake counties through 9 AM for temperatures 30-32F for at least two hours for portions of these counties. A Cold Weather Advisory remains in effect for all east central Florida counties except Martin through 9 AM for wind chill values 20-30F as northwest winds increase to 10-15 mph with some higher gusts.
Max temperatures will struggle to recover into the low to mid 50s along and north of I-4 this afternoon, with mid to upper 50s southward, except near 60-62F across portions of Okeechobee, Indian River, St. Lucie and Martin counties. "Feels-like" or "Apparent" temperatures, with northwest to north winds 10-15 mph and higher gusts, will increase into the 50s areawide, but may struggle out of the 40s north and west of I-4.
A Moderate Risk of dangerous rip currents and a strong southward-flowing current will be present at area beaches. A Beach Hazards Statement will be in effect for this. Remember, if you must enter the chilly water, always swim near a lifeguard and never enter the water alone.
Small Craft Advisories will be in effect across the local coastal waters for winds 15 to 25 knots (with higher gusts) and seas building to 6 to 8 feet over the open Atlantic. Seas building 4 to 6 feet near the coast.
