Dr. Adrian Arroyo-Perez serves as the Associate Director, Faculty Affairs within the Provost Office at the University of Arizona. In this role, he implements efforts to facilitate collaboration across the university to strategically advance institutional capacity related to faculty professional development. This includes developing regular reports on faculty, leading new faculty onboarding, research best practices for faculty development, and collaboratively develop programs and support systems for faculty mentoring.
Prior to serving in this role, Dr. Arroyo oversaw the implementation of global curriculum integration strategies in the U of A International Office. He worked to foster partnerships across the university and with higher education institutions worldwide, aiming to expand pathways for undergraduate students to graduate education and STEM careers. Driven by a commitment to excellence, Dr. Arroyo has been recognized for his leadership and service with several prestigious awards. He received the University of Arizona Award for Excellence, which honors employees for their outstanding achievements in advancing the university's mission. He also earned the Global Excellence Award for his exceptional contributions to international education and was named Man of the Year in 2023 by the Tucson Hispanic Chamber of Commerce’s 40 Under 40.
Prior to his career in higher education, Dr. Arroyo held leadership roles in the pharmaceutical industry, managing and developing international projects at Johnson & Johnson, Eli Lilly, and Bristol Myers Squibb. He earned a doctorate in Higher Education from the University of Arizona's Center for the Study of Higher Education, following a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Sciences from La Salle University.
