Our mission is to provide support and resources for the promotion and tenure programs and process, offer faculty development opportunities, foster recognition of faculty achievements in both scholarship and teaching, partner with units to recruit, retain and support a diverse faculty, and promote leadership development of faculty into academic positions.

2025 Promotion and Tenure Workshops

The Office for Faculty Advancement is operating a number of workshops to help support faculty promotion preparation and success. Register for sessions here. Seeking promotion and/or tenure is often a mystifying and intimidating process. The Office for Faculty Advancement has developed a series of workshops aimed to demystify and support faculty. The program includes workshops for faculty, and are appropriate for faculty at any career stage – the earlier you understand the promotion process the less intimidating it may be.

The fall season and the holiday season usually bring with them a lot of people time. We see people at fun gatherings, office party time, gatherings with friends and family, special events, travel time, etc. Whatever you choose to do over the next month, I hope you remember to pace yourself and be present. Be in the moment so that you can take it all in and enjoy it. Don’t let the busyness of the season sidetrack you on your self-care journey. Have fun and stay well.
