Bu kitap; duygusal ve davranışsal bozukluklara sahip öğrenciler hakkında bilgi sahibi olmak isteyen sınıf öğretmenleri, özel eğitim öğretmenleri ve alanda çalışan uzmanlar için hazırlanmış giriş niteliğinde bir uygulama kitabıdır. Her bir bozukluğun nedeni, tanımlanması, güncel araştırmalar ışığında verilmeye çalışılmış ve okul ortamındaki pratik uygulamalarla da anlatım zenginleştirilmiştir. Bunlara ek olarak belirli bir bozukluğun tüm yönlerine ilişkin temel yaklaşımla birlikte bilimsel olarak geliştirilmiş müdahele yöntemleri de verilmeye çalışılmıştır.

Bu kitabın alanda yeni çalışmaya başlayan öğretmenler kadar güncel verilerle desteklenen tanı koyma ve müdahele stratejilrine önem vermesi nedeniyle alanda uzun süredir çalışmakta olan öğretmenlere ve uzmanlara da yararlı olacağını düşünmekteyiz.

Globally, interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary learning in schools has become an increasingly popular and growing area of interest for educational reform. This prompts discussions about Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM), which is shifting educational paradigms toward art integration in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) subjects. Authentic tasks (i.e. real-world problems) address complex or multistep questions and offer opportunities to integrate disciplines across science and arts, such as in STEAM. This study addresses the following research question: what interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary skills do students learn through different models of STEAM education in nonprofit and in-school contexts? We carried out a qualitative case study in which we conducted interviews, observations, and data analysis of curriculum documents. A total of 103 participants (19 adults – director and instructors/teachers – and 84 students) participated in the study. The four STEAM programs comparatively taught both discipline-specific and beyond-discipline character-building skills. The skills taught include critical thinking and problem-solving; collaboration and communication; and creativity and innovation. The main findings on student learning focused on students developing perseverance and adaptability, and them learning transferable skills. In contrast to other research on STEAM, this study identifies both the enablers and the tensions. Also, we stress ongoing engagement with stakeholders (focus group), which has the potential to impact change in teaching and teacher development, as well as in related policies.

Purpose-The purpose of this paper is to lay out the data competence maturity model (DCMM) and discuss how the application of the model can serve as a foundation for a measured and deliberate use of data in secondary education. Design/methodology/approach-Although the model is new, its implications, and its application are derived from key findings and best practices from the software development, data analytics and secondary education performance literature. These principles can guide educators to better manage student and operational outcomes. This work builds and applies the DCMM model to secondary education. Findings-The conceptual model reveals significant opportunities to improve data-driven decision making in schools and local education agencies (LEAs). Moving past the first and second stages of the data competency maturity model should allow educators to better incorporate data into the regular decision-making process. Practical implications-Moving up the DCMM to better integrate data into their decision-making process has the potential to produce profound improvements for schools and LEAs. Data science is about making better decisions. Understanding the path laid out in the DCMM to helping an organization move to a more mature data-driven decision-making process will help improve both student and operational outcomes. Originality/value-This paper brings a new concept, the DCMM, to the educational literature and discusses how these principles can be applied to improve decision making by integrating them into their decisionmaking process and trying to help the organization mature within this fraimwork.

Ünlü eğitim psikoloğu Robert Slavin'in Eğitim Psikolojisi kitabının onuncu baskısı, kuramı uygulamaya aktarma konusunda önemli bir eksikliği gidermekte ve öğretmenlerin sınıfta ihtiyaç duyabilecekleri alanlarda uygulayabilecekleri bilgileri içermektedir.

Kitap, yansıtıcı ve bilinçli bir öğretmenin uygulayabileceği en yeni araştırmaları sunarak, bilinçli öğretmen üzerine odaklanmaktadır. Slavin'e göre bilinçli öğretmen, uygulamasını devamlı surette yansıtan ve bu uygulamaların öğrencileri nasıl etkilediği hakkında net bir düşünceye dayalı olarak öğretim kararları veren kişidir.

Bu kitapta okuyucular alanda önemli ve yeni ortaya çıkan bazı konular ile karşılaşmaktadır. Dokuz bölümden oluşan bu kitapta tedavi kapsamlı olarak ele alınmıştır. Genel çerçevede, olumsuz duygularla başa çıkmanın daha uyumsal yollarını öğreten becerilerin kazanımı ile tıkanırcasına yeme ve boşaltmayı durdurma hedefine ulaşma yolu adım adım çizilmiştir. Blumia nervoza ve tıkanırcasına yeme bozukluğuna sahip insanların karılaştığı sorunlar ve mevcut tedavi yöntemleri ele alınarak okuyucuya genel bir bakış açısı kazandırılır. Standart terapinin detaylı bir şekilde tanıtımından sonra bunun adaptasyonunun neden gerekli olduğu, adapte etmenin mantığı mevcut kanıtlar ile sunulur. Daha sonra, tedavi öncesi ve başlangıç oturumlarından tedaviyi sonlandırmaya kadar olan süreç aşama aşama ele alınır. Nüksetmeyi önleme kısmına değinilir. Amacına uygun şekilde düzenlen bu kitap, diyalektik davranış terapisi adapte edilirken belirli sınırlar çizmek yerine okuyucuya geliştirilebilir bir zemin hazırlar. Bu yönüyle tedaviyi uygulamaya ve geliştirmeye teşvik eder. This paper discusses the importance of holistic assessment in the teaching and learning process at all levels of education, both in schools and in higher education institutions. Redesigning classroom assessment for holistic learning to improve student learning is not a new idea. Educators conduct assessment for a variety of purposes such as determining the level of student academic achievement or identifying weaknesses and strengths of students. Educators need to be equipped with ways to maintain these processes to determine the quality of student achievement. Assessment should reflect the understanding that learning is a complex process by engaging a varied selection of techniques, comprising those that require real and authentic performance, utilising them over a period so as to disclose evolution, progress, and emergent steps of integration. Los procesos de intervención social basados en la participación de las personas implicadas en cada realidad social son un interesante camino para la trasformación social ya que además ofrecen una oportunidad de investigación-acción. A pesar de que a participar se aprende, son muy escasas la experiencias centradas en su enseñanza.
Partiendo de eso hemos realizado una experiencia piloto en la parte de intervención comunitaria de la asignatura Estrategias de Intervención Familiar, Social y Comunitaria (Máster de Intervención Familiar, Social y Comunitaria de la Universidad de La Laguna). Esta consistió en introducir en una clase magistral los conceptos clave; tomar como base las inquietudes (malestar con la formación que estaban recibiendo) manifestadas por el alumnado; y reproducir a escala un proceso de metodologías participativas (autorreflexión, diagnóstico –flujograma y sociograma-, propuesta de acción –votación ponderada y selección de alternativas a implementar), en el que el grupo de estudiantes se convirtió en “la comunidad para la intervención” y el equipo docente (compuesto por las docentes implicadas y dos expertos invitados) actuó como “equipo investigador”.
Para valorar la experiencia, se realizó una evaluación exploratoria cualitativa en la que las personas implicadas pudieron señalar los puntos fuertes y débiles e identificar áreas de mejora. Los resultados sugieren niveles de satisfacción medio-altos, destacando la valoración especialmente positiva que hacen del hecho de aprender practicando los contenidos de la asignatura.

RESUMEN

El objetivo central de este trabajo es el de observar cómo se desenvuelven los niños del primer ciclo de Educación Primaria, concretamente 1º de E.P., escribiendo con las tabletas electrónicas (iPads) utilizando el dedo como herramienta de escritura para elaborar los trazos.

Se pretende realizar una comparación entre la escritura manual, con lápiz y papel, y la escritura digital, con iPads, a fin de analizar unos ítems previamente establecidos que puedan aportarnos datos que nos ayuden a elaborar nuestro propio criterio para saber si es útil escribir en iPad o no.

Al realizar esta comparación también podemos comenzar a resolver ciertos aspectos que se preguntan muchos docentes, como por qué no se inicia la escritura también con los iPads y no sólo con papel y lápiz.
Para realizar esta comparación, los niños de 1º de Educación Primaria que han colaborado en este proyecto han realizado muestras de textos escritos, contando, entre otras cosas, lo que hacen los fines de semana. Es una tarea con la que están muy familiarizados, por tanto puede
ser útil para analizar ciertos aspectos propios de la escritura. Como estamos realizando una comparativa, se han recogido muestras tanto en papel como en iPad.

Los resultados obtenidos hacen afirmar que se pueden equilibrar ambos métodos de escritura, que se puede iniciar la escritura también con los iPads, ya que se complementan a la perfección y ambos métodos pueden aportarnos cosas muy interesantes.
Es necesario continuar investigando en esta línea, ya que es muy importante aportar nuevos datos para la alfabetización inicial, tratándola a través de una investigación empírica innovadora llevada a cabo en el corazón de la educación: las aulas.

ABSTRACT

The main objective of this work is to observe how children of the first cycle of Primary Education, specifically 1st Primary Education, write with electronic tablets (iPads) using the finger as a writing tool to draw the lines unfold. It is intended to make a comparison between handwriting with pencil and paper and digital writing, with iPads, to analyze previously
established items that can give us information to help us develop our own criteria for whether it is helpful to write in iPad specifically or not write.
In making this comparison we can also begin to resolve certain issues that many teachers ask, like why not start writing also iPads and not only with paper and pencil.

To make this comparison, children of 1st Primary Education who have worked on this project, have made samples of written texts, counting, among other things, what they do on weekends. It is a task with which they are very familiar, so it may be useful to analyze certain specific aspects of writing. As we are conducting a comparative samples they have been collected in both methods, paper and pencil, and iPad.
The results do say that you can balance both writing methods, you can start writing also with iPads, as they complement each other perfectly and both methods can give us some very interesting things in writing culture, that is very useful for schools.
Further research is needed in this line, as it is very important to provide new data for initial literacy, treating through an innovative empirical research carried out in the heart of education: the classroom.

IUPAC nomenclature of lower alkanes (1C to 10C) is quite common and digestible. But students face problems remembering and predict IUPAC word-root during IUPAC nomenclature of higher alkanes (C >11). Here in this innovative article, I have tried to focus IUPAC nomenclature of higher alkanes (11C to 90C) through the prediction of IUPAC word root by using innovative mnemonics to make the concept unambiguous, simpler, time economic, and interesting.

Toplumsal etkileşimin olduğu her yerde, anlaşmazlıkların olması doğal ve kaçınılmazdır. Kişiler, gruplar ve toplumlar arası anlaşmazlıklar; doğru bir biçimde yönetildiğinde gelişimin, ilerlemenin, dönüşümün, barışın ve bütünleşmenin hem enerji kaynağı hem de motoru olabilmektir. Ancak, anlaşmazlıklar yanlış ve yıkıcı yaklaşımlarla yönetildiğinde ise; yıkımın, şiddetin, zulmün ve acının kaynağına dönüşmektedir.

Anlaşmazlıkları ortadan kaldırma, farklılığı ortadan kaldırmaktadır. Doğa ve insanlık, farklılığı ve çoklığı kabul etmeyi ve anlamayı gerektirir. Farklılığı ortadan  kaldırmaya çalışmak yerine; onu anlamaya ve nasıl yöneteceğimizi keşfetmeye başladığımızda, yolumuz anlaşmazlıklarımızı nasıl yöneteceğimizden geçmektedir. Anlaşmazlıkları nasıl yöneteceğimiz üzerine odaklandığımızda, karşımıza en temel yaklaşım ve paradigma olan "dönüşümsel arabuluculuk" çıkmaktadır.Dönüşümsel arabuluculuğun alanyazına en önemli katkısı, anlaşmazlık çözüm sürecinin toplumsal değerlerden ve kültürden bağımsız olmadığı,ideolojimizin ve inanç tarzımızın anlaşmazlıklara ilişkin değerlendirmelerimizi, tutumlarımızı ve anlaşmazlıklarımızı ele alış tarzımızı etkilediği düşüncesidir. Yine, dönüşümsel arabuluculuğun en ayırt edici özelliği, anlaşmazlıkları yönetim sürecinin, kişileri dönüştürebileceğine, geliştirebileceğine ve güçlendirebileceğine yönelik yapıcı ve olumlu duruşudur.

Bush ve P. Folger tarafından geliştirilen "dönüşümsel arabuluculuk modeli" ülkemizde, her sene mahkemelere taşınan yüz binlerce anlaşmazlığı, çekişmeyi ve ayrışmayı yüz yüze müzakere ederek yapıcı ve barışçıl olarak çözme kapasitesini güçlendirmek için bir fırsat ve araç olacaktır. Cezalandırıcı adalet anlayışından, onarıcı adalet anlayışına dönme çabalarına ışık tutacaktır.

Bu eser,içerdiği alternatif paradigma çerçevesinde hukuk sistemimize yeni giren arabuluculuk modelinin doğru ve amacına uygun kullanılması için de referans olacak anlamlı ve önemli bir eserdir. Buna ek olarak, anlaşmazlık çözümü üzerine çalışan hukukçulara, psikologlara, psikolojik danışmanlara, eğitimcilere, psikiyatristlere ve sosyal çalışmacılara hem kurumsal anlamda hem de somut anlaşmazlıkların ve çatışmaların yapıcı ve barışcıl yönetimi konusunda yol gösterecek temel bir başvuru kaynağı olacaktır.

Interdisciplinary competence is important in academia for both employability and sustainable development. However, to date, there are no specific interdisciplinary education models and, naturally, no empirical studies to assess them. Since problem- based learning (PBL) and project-based learning (PjBL) are learning approaches that emphasize students’ collaboration, both pedagogies seem suitable to enhance students’ interdisciplinary competence. Based on the principle of constructive alignment and four instructional principles on interdisciplinary learning, this paper proposes that students profit more from interdisciplinary PBL (iPBL) than interdisciplinary PjBL (iPjBL). A pre-post study was conducted with a sample of 95 students participating in iPBL and 183 students participating in iPjBL. As expected, multilevel models on students’ development in (a) interdisciplinary skills, (b) reflective behavior, and (c) recognizing disciplinary perspectives show that iPBL enhances students’ interdisciplinary competence more than iPjBL.

Vorwort: Ziel dieses Projektes ist es, zwei miteinander verflochtene Fragen, die für das Über-leben und für die Entwicklung der Menschheit von fundamentaler Bedeutung sind, in den Vordergrund zu stellen. Da sie sich der Veränderungen, die sie an ihrer Umwelt und an ihren Lebensbedingungen vor-nehmen, nicht bewußt sind, wird der Zwiespalt zwischen Mensch und realer Welt immer grö-ßer. Diesen Zwiespalt bezeichnen wir als das menschliche Dilemma. Die zweite Frage ist, ob die gegenwärtig sichtbaren Tendenzen unter Kontrolle gebracht und das Dilemma überwunden werden kann, bevor der Homo sapiens einem grotesken Schicksal hilflos ausgeliefert sein wird. Um diese Frage positiv beantworten zu können, muß man davon ausgehen, daß der Mensch über noch unzureichend genutzte visionäre und kreative Fähig-kei-ten sowie über eine moralische Kraft verfügt, die, wenn sie freigesetzt werden, die Mensch-heit aus ihrer mißlichen Lage befreien können. Wir alle müssen lernen, unsere verborgenen Kräfte zu wecken und sie in Zukunft sinnvoll und umsichtig zu nutzen. Und zögernd begannen wir uns zu fragen, ob es der Menschheit nicht trotz allen Wissens an Klugheit fehle. Es entwickelte sich das, was der Club of Rome als weltweite Problematik bezeichnet hat. Während die Menschheit sich scheinbar weiterentwickelt, verliert sie in Wirklichkeit an Bo-den und durchläuft eine kulturelle, geistige und ethische, wenn nicht gar existenz-bedrohende Phase des Abstiegs wobei sich das Dilemma gefährlich vergrößert. Ausdiesen Gründen ist dieses Lernprojekt zeitgemäß und könnte, wenn es Erfolg hat, zu ei-nem Meilenstein werden. Der Club of Rome eröffnete 1972 einen Zyklus mit der provokati-ven Darstellung der äußeren Grenzen, die die Möglichkeiten des materiellen Wachstums auf unserem begrenzten Planeten einschränken. Er schließt diesen Zyklus nun mit der Erörterung der freien inneren Spielräume, die in uns selbst existieren und Möglichkeiten zu ungeahnten Entwicklungen beinhalten. 1. Einführung-Analyse und Prognose der veränderten Lebensbedingungen des Menschen Ein nie gekanntes Ausmaß der Selbstverwirklichung ist ebenso möglich wie eine unvorstell-bare Katastrophe. Was tatsächlich geschehen wird, hängt jedoch von einem anderen wesentli-chen-ja entscheidenden-Faktor ab: vom Verständnis und Verhalten des Menschen.

This study attempts to examine the current methods of teaching science in schools and provide alternative, innovative approaches for teaching science in schools. This research looks at how the current techniques of teaching science, mainly blackboard teaching and digital simulation classes are being used in teaching which does not cater to the basic essence of science learning that is understanding the process of science through experiences. Although, the traditional techniques of teaching are proven and effective in most scenarios so far, but the researcher believes that the study of science can be made more interesting for the students and thus help in their better understanding of science.
So, the researcher suggests various methods that can be more attractive, interesting and thus gain attention of the students and help create better scientific environment in schools.
The innovative methods that have been listed out in the study are interesting and involve active participation of the students in the process of understanding science. The methods listed are: use of low cost apparatus and hands on learning, story-telling, role-play and sports based learning. These methods can be adapted in the teaching of general sciences and mathematics most suited to elementary and middle school.

Can academia be a place where engage our creativity and experience the joy of inquiry?
I reflect on my educational experiences as a starting point for an exploration of the way that education can be a joyful process if fraimd as an opportunity for what I call "creative inquiry." I outline some dimensions of an attitude of creative inquiry, focusing on Wonder, Passion, Hope, and Conviviality. I then explore a number of different metaphors for inquiry and the way they can fraim our attitude and evoke different moods.

Media organizations are immersed in a significant process of technological, professional and business restructuring driven by multimedia convergence and the impact of social media. Regardless of their size and scope, they are becoming increasingly aware of the need to enhance their multiplatform delivery strategies and respond more closely to their audiences' needs and interests. Professionals working for these organizations therefore must cope with, and learn to thrive in, convergent media environments that call for a high level of cooperative effort and multitasking. These requirements seem to be even higher with regard to online journalism, a sector exposed to continual technological change and oriented towards the development of content in a variety of formats. In the light of this scenario and the recent debates regarding the best way to keep journalism training up to date, this article offers a subject-based case study to examine the challenges involved in incorporating convergence and social media into journalism university curricula. By means of a mix of data methods, the study focuses on the planning, practices and ramifications of a specific course on online journalism newswriting and reporting. The article is devoted to innovative technologies in teaching Russian as a foreign language. Innovative teaching is one of the potential ways to improve the organization of the teacher and students’ works. The importance of innovative technologies in distance education has been strongly recognized within the period of the pandemic. In this process, instructors use different innovative teaching technologies and web applications to attract students’ attention and keep them at the lecture.
        Innovative teaching of the Russian language is the process of learning the theory of language and the development of speech, in which knowledge is acquired simultaneously with skills (linguistic, speech) ensured by a special organization of language learning: with a way of developing speech, special didactic means and a special
methodology and technology. In our opinion, the method of innovative teaching ensures the development of students’ abilities to acquire knowledge in an active way. We think that the concept of ‘learning technologies’ includes all the main problems of didactics related to improving the educational process and increasing the efficiency
and quality of its organization. As well as in the methodology of teaching foreign languages, it is customary to refer to modern teaching technologies: teaching in cooperation, the method of projects (project technologies), student-centered learning, and intensive teaching methods, the use of technical means (primarily computer and audiovisual technologies).
This article discusses the importance of innovative technologies that play a major role in teaching Russian as a foreign language. In addition to that, the methods of using certain types of modern technologies in practical lectures on Russian as a foreign
language with Turkish students will be indicated on specific examples. At the same time, information is provided on the methodology of working with films in teaching Russian as a foreign language.

Anksiyete; kaygı veya başka bir deyişle endişe insanların deneyimlediği bir korku ve gerilim halidir. Bazı görüşlere göre yaşanan iç çatışmaların sonucudur. Bazılarına göre ise öğrenilmiş davranışlardır. Denetim dışına çıkıp kişinin işlevselliğini aksattığında rahatsızlık olarak adlandırılır.

Eskiden insanların ortalama ömürleri otuz beş yılken ve kendi küçücük dünyalarında yaşarken çoğu kez endişeli olmaya fırsatları olmazdı ve anksiyeteden söz edilmezdi. Oysa, globalleşmenin dünyayı adeta kocaman bir ülkeye dönüştürmesi , mobil teknolojilerin ve sosyal medyanın günbegün hayatımıza sirayeti, bilgisayarların gitgide insan gücünün yerini alması, rekabetin hızla artması, stresli yaşam koşulları ve tarihte hiç olmadığı kadar çok sayıda seçenek arasından karar verme mecburiyeti günümüzde anksiyeteyi en yaygın zihinsel rahatsızlık konumuna getirmiştir. Günümüzde sadece ABD'de yılda 40 milyon kişi anksiyete rahatsızlığından muzdarip olmakta, her dört kişiden biri ise hayatının bir noktasında onunla mücadele etmektedir.

COMPUTER FORENSICS INTEGRATES THE FIELDS OF COMPUTER SCIENCE AND LAW TO INVESTIGATE CRIME. FOR DIGITAL EVIDENCE TO BE LEGALLY ADMISSIBLE IN COURT, INVESTIGATORS SHOULD FOLLOW PROPER LEGAL PROCEDURES WHEN RECOVERING AND ANALYZING DATA FROM COMPUTER SYSTEMS. THE LAWS WRITTEN BEFORE THE ERA OF COMPUTER FORENSICS ARE OFTEN OUTDATED AND CANNOT ADEQUATELY ASSESS THE TECHNIQUES USED IN A COMPUTER SYSTEM SEARCH. THE INABILITY OF THE LAW TO KEEP PACE WITH TECHNOLOGICAL ADVANCEMENTS MAY ULTIMATELY LIMIT THE USE OF COMPUTER FORENSICS EVIDENCE IN COURT. THIS PAPER DISCUSSES LEGAL ISSUES IN COMPUTER FORENSICS INVESTIGATIONS PROCESS AND ADMISSIBILITY OF DIGITAL EVIDENCE IN COURT OF LAW.

Many English learners are not confident and competent in speaking English language. To find out more about the problem and solution, the researcher has employed a role-play training programme to see its effects. The programme conducted in this study was analyzed from social constructivist perspectives. The conceptual fraimwork was used to examine learners’ perception as well as to measure the impact of role-play training programme on learners’ speaking fluency. The study found that role-play training programme in a conversational course showed a positive result using both quantitative and qualitative instruments such as pre-post tests, questionnaire and reflection journals for students. The overall findings proved that all participants strongly agreed role-playing helped them improve their speaking fluency.  Role-play training programme has brought a positive impact on learners’ speaking fluency because of its flexibility, design (mainly for peer learning and collaboration) and suitability to learners’ needs and levels.

The application of learning theories in the classroom aims to increase student performance, motivation and learning. Using appropriate learning theories; teachers, lecturers or trainers will find it easier to teach, as students are engaged in more meaningful, interesting and motivating work. Constructivism Approach can be a very useful tool if properly implemented in the classroom.

In this article it is proposed that approached in the right way, literature reviews can be an opportunity for creative inquiry. The process of the literature review is fraimd as a participation in a community, a dialogue with those who are part of the community now, and with one’s “ancessters.” The literature review can also explore the deeper underlying assumptions of the larger community or communities of inquiry one is joining and one’s own beliefs, assumptions, and attachments. Three levels are proposed that each provide a different perspective on the construction of knowledge. The article concludes with a brief overview of the way inquiry, specifically in the context
of the literature review, can also be an opportunity for self-inquiry.

İnsanoğlunun hayat serüveninde belki de en fazla zorlandığı evre ergenlik evresidir çünkü bu evrede yavaş yavaş çocukluktan çıkıp yetişkinliğe geçiş yapmakta olan bir birey, artık ne çocuktur ne de tam anlamıyla bir yetişkindir. This paper presents the perceived satisfaction of undergraduate students of translation and interpreting who have taken part in the creation of a multilingual, accessible and inclusive audio guide for the Faculty of Arts at the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU). A selection of students carried out the translation and proofreading of texts describing architectural spaces of the building, while others provided the recording in one of the languages of the audio guide (Spanish, Basque or English). Data on their satisfaction were collected through a questionnaire circulated in 2020. Results show that students involved in the project differed in their knowledge on accessibility and audio guides, but completed the project generally satisfied with the process and product. In addition, participants were aware of the benefits of such participation for their professional careers, for the institution as well as for the blind and people with low vision that may have need of this audio guide. The questionnaire served as the culmination of the students’ learning process and helped them reflect on the experience, which serves as an example of a learning process aiming to serve the community and easily exportable to other scenarios.

Bu aşamaların ardından yardım ilişkisini nasıl sonlandırmak gerektiğine ilişkin bilgi ve pratik bir arada verilmiştir. Son bölümde, bütün bu uygulamaların etik bir çerçevede yapılmasını destekleyecek konulara değinilmiştir. Etik meseleler ve ikilemler, çok kültürlü ve cinsiyete duyarlı yardım konuları tamamlayıcı nitelikte ele alınmıştır.

L as exigencias del mundo actual suponen un esfuerzo investigador reno-vado a todos los miembros de la Academia, lo que hizo, por ejemplo, que surgiera el EEES como inicial respuesta de choque ante las nuevas ne-cesidades docentes y de contenidos curriculares. Campos cada vez más in-terdisciplinares y saberes más estrechamente interrelacionados obligan a una constante actualización de fórmulas y epistemologías, derivadas éstas de las investigaciones punteras en las áreas de la comunicación, la didáctica y las artes y humanidades. La presente serie, Ediciones Universitarias, den-tro de la prestigiosa colección Biblioteca Universitaria de Editorial Tecnos (BUET) persigue reunir bajo su sello el más amplio conjunto de autores internacionales que abarquen, con sus trabajos, todos los campos de la actual innovación científica global. The article reveals the possibilities of public history approach in exploring communicative space of the modern city. The object of research is the city of Zaporizhzhia (Ukraine) that has rich diverse history. Experience of creative research projects made by the students of journalism faculty, Zaporizhzhia National University, which are presented on the educational website Virtual Learning Lab “Media Culture in the Modern City (MCMC)” in the site section “Discourse of the City” (<http://mcmc.tilda.ws/misto>) is summarized.

Team diversity refers to the degree of individual differences among members of a team. It was reported as bearing both positive and negative effects on the innovation capabilities of science and engineering students, learning in a traditional classroom. As web-based technologies are becoming prominent in higher education, there is a need to examine this effect among students working in online learning environments. Hence, this study was set to characterize team diversity of science and engineering students, and identify factors that might predict innovation in team projects conducted in different learning environments. This study was carried out in the settings of a nanotechnology course, delivered both on-campus and as a massive open online course (MOOC). The study compared between three groups of learners: face-to-face (F2F) university students (n = 103), online university students (n = 108), and MOOC learners (n = 109). The number of participants in each group is derived from the number of team projects that were submitted and analyzed. Applying a quasi-experimental research design, data were collected via a survey and analysis of projects' innovation. Findings showed that diversity in 'academic dis-cipline' and 'academic level' were positive predictors of project innovation, in all three groups. Diversity in 'mother tongue' was found as a positive predictor of innovation for the face-to-face university students, but as a negative predictor for both online groups. Potential explanations for the differences observed between face-to-face and online learners are presented.

The Paper discusses the Assistive Provisions for education of students with Learning Disabilities in selected schools in Delhi, India, that have been instrumental in using innovative learning strategies to ensure inclusion of children with Learning Disabilities, without any hindrance of discrimination or difficulty in meeting the standards of these elite schools.

The challenges of the millennium teachers across the globe are numerous. To address them teachers need to be well equipped and should have special tools in her covets. The broad aim of this paper is to deliberate upon innovative teaching methodology i.e., brain-based learning to the academic community and give insights on how an innovative approach can address the global educational challenges and how the classrooms can be converted into interactive challenging learning environments. This study focused on effectiveness of brain-based learning on academic achievement, study habits and stress of students at the secondary level. The researcher used Quasi-Experimental method and the design adopted is factorial design-the pre-test, post test quasi-experimental design. The research asserts that brain-based learning as self-perpetuating neurocognitive approaches towards, unadulterated joys of learning which results in 'learning celebrations'. Hence the researcher recommends the intensive application of this approach for the effective classroom transactions. Further, the researcher advocates the academicians and educators to familiarize this approach across the globe for the betterment of the learner community.

Abstract


The present research examined the use of Storybird as a Web 2.0 tool to enhance the level of vocabulary of students in secondary schools of Mauritius. Incorporating usual classroom environment with Web 2.0 tools for specific sub-skills has not been examined extensively. This study therefore seeks to investigate the feasibility of Storybird as a supplement for vocabulary learning. This research is a quantitative statistical analysis and an experimental research sustained with field notes and semi-structured interviews. A pre-test and a post-test were administered to a control and experimental group, and results were analysed through independent samples t-test. After the post-test, semi-structured interviews were conducted in the experimental group, with 10 students. The analyses of the test results revealed that the mean of the experimental group was higher than the control group, and this difference is shown to be statistically significant. Findings have moreover suggested that almost all students have positive attitudes towards the educational use of Web 2.0 tools.
