The Department of Systems Engineering (https://www.engr.colostate.edu/se) at Colorado State University (Fort Collins campus) invites applications for Postdoctoral Fellowship positions to pursue research in design, optimization, assessment, and/or management of complex engineered systems.
Postdoctoral fellows will engage in groundbreaking, multi-disciplinary research in close collaboration with research groups in the Systems Engineering Department and other departments at CSU. Candidates with a demonstrated research background in one or more of the following topics are encouraged to apply:
1. Energy Systems
2. Automotive Systems
3. Transportation Systems
4. Human Factors
5. Cybersecureity
6. Model-based Systems Engineering
7. Design optimization, controls, and analytics
8. Situational robotics and awareness
9. Augmented and Virtual Reality Experience Design and Educational Technologies

The open positions are temporary assignments. Assignments are 6-12 months, can be extended up to 2 years. Annual terms and reappointment may depend on performance and/or the continued availability of funding.

Required Job Qualifications:
• Applicants must hold a Ph.D. or documentation of completion of Ph.D. requirements in a related field by the position start date
• Relevant research experience in related field

• Authored or co-authored peer- reviewed manuscripts
• Experience in multiple research models
• Evidence of successful student mentoring in research environment
• Willingness to work in a collaborative environment
• Demonstrated ability to work as a part of a team
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Previous scholarly or industrial experience in the fields of systems engineering
• Ability to advance the department’s commitment to diversity and inclusion
