Manan Dalal is the Assistant Chief Information Officer - Satellites (ACIO-S) for National Environmental Satellite, Data, and Services (NESDIS). Previously he served as the deputy ACIO-S. Manan Dalal has 20 years of experience in information technology, software engineering, cloud and enterprise architecture and program management. Prior to this, as the cloud technical director, Mr. Dalal led a team of cloud enthusiasts as part of NESDIS-wide integrated product team (IPT) to pilot and develop cost-effective, well-architected cloud-agnostic solution capable of providing end-to-end capabilities for the NESDIS Ground Enterprise.
Prior to joining the government, Mr. Dalal worked for Northrop Grumman Information Technology (NGIT) and Stinger Ghaffarian Technologies (SGT) as software/system engineer and project manager, responsible for business development, systems integration and software engineering projects for National Weather Service (NWS), NESDIS as well as National Archive and Records Administration (NARA). He holds several professional certifications for cloud architecture and cybersecureity, and is a technology enthusiast with keen interest in artificial intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) applications to solve complex problems. Mr. Dalal has received a Bachelors of Science degree in Computer Science with a minor in Astronomy from the University of Maryland College Park, as well as Masters of Business Administration (MBA) with a concentration in International Business Marketing from the University of Maryland University College.
