Latest Aviation Discussion:
.AVIATION /02Z MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY/...
VFR conditions are expected through Monday evening thanks to
high pressure. Light NW/NE winds through this evening will
become calm then turn SE/S on Monday.
A weak low pressure system will affect the area Tuesday
morning, bringing the chance for light wintry precipitation to
all terminals, except for CHO. Confidence is currently low, but
a mix of snow, sleet, or freezing rain is possible for a few
hours, with higher chances for BWI/MTN. Precip may change to
rain before ending by Tuesday afternoon. MVFR ceilings may
develop Tuesday night as high pressure builds to the north and
low pressure develops off the coast.
Primarily VFR conditions are expected Wednesday and Thursday as high
pressure builds back into the area. However, some MVFR ceilings
are possible Wednesday into Wednesday night if a stratus layer
develops. This is due largely in part to a stalled frontal
boundary and area of low pressure sitting south and east of the
region. Additional periods of sub-VFR are possible Friday
through Sunday as another series of fronts cross the region.
