Severe Thunderstorms Expected Across the Central U.S.

Strong to severe thunderstorms capable of producing large hail, a few tornadoes and damaging winds are forecast to develop by mid-morning Wednesday and continue into the night from the middle Missouri Valley area southward to North Texas. An Enhanced Risk of severe thunderstorms (level 3 of 5) is in effect from southeast Nebraska to parts of northeast Oklahoma. Read More >

Seasonable temperatures are expected Thursday evening. A cold front will be moving across the Northern Rockies during the day Thursday, that will bring scattered valley rain and mountain snow showers around sunset. The heavier and more persistent precipitation will arrive during the overnight hours and early Friday morning.
