Severe Thunderstorms Expected Across the Central U.S.

Strong to severe thunderstorms capable of producing large hail, a few tornadoes and damaging winds are forecast to develop by mid-morning Wednesday and continue into the night from the middle Missouri Valley area southward to North Texas. An Enhanced Risk of severe thunderstorms (level 3 of 5) is in effect from southeast Nebraska to parts of northeast Oklahoma. Read More >

Local Weather History For October 30th...
Large hail, accompanied by very strong winds, caused widespread
damage in Gould on October 30th, 1987. Gould, in southwest Oklahoma,
experienced golf ball-size hail with winds of 70 to 80 mph. The
wind-driven hail damaged most of the roofs in town, broke out many
windows, and dented the sides of many homes. The storm caused about
$200,000 in damages.
