Honors Scholars Program
City Tech's Honors Scholars Program is open to any student who has completed at least 12 credits with a cumulative GPA of 3.4 or better. Transfer students entering City Tech with 12 or more credits and a GPA of 3.4 or higher are eligible to apply. All applicants should still need more than 18 credits to complete their degree.
As a member of the Honors Scholars Program, you can expect:
- Early registration. Be among the first students to enroll in courses.
- To be nominated for membership in the National Society of Collegiate Scholars (NSCS) for increasing marketability, identifying a career path, and making lasting connections!
- To develop professional contacts locally (since today's high-achieving City Tech students are often tomorrow's highly placed professionals) and nationally (through NSCS membership and participation in our chapter activities).
- Honors courses. Opportunities to earn honors credit in any course, including projects at the DNA Learning Center NYC at City Tech, by receiving honors project distinction on your official transcript.
- Design and play games. Our Interdisciplinary Design Game-Based Learning Lab is a place for you to create digital and non-digital games to help your peers learn fundamental concepts in different disciplines.
- A collaborative community with co-curricular activities such as our game jams, mental health resources, public speaking refresher and resume workshops.
- Graduate school prep, including workshops and an annual graduate school fair.
- To be considered to join a supported cohort preparing to enroll in one of Cornell University Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) Programs.
If you have any questions, contact the Director of the Honors Scholars Program, Dr. Reneta D. Lansiquot-Panagiotakis.
Scholarships
