The Scarlet Society is an exclusive major-giving program that provides unique benefits to Arkansas State Athletics donors who give a minimum donation of $25,000 payable over five years.

“We’re excited to announce the creation of our Scarlet Society, the first major-giving program of its kind here at Arkansas State,” said Vice Chancellor for Intercollegiate Athletics Jeff Purinton.  “This important initiative will serve as a key component to our larger revenue-generation plans moving forward, and we’re confident it has great potential to deliver a positive impact on our student-athletes, sports programs, facilities and overall Athletics Department.”

These donations are above and beyond priority seating-related contributions and are applied towards facility enhancements, capital projects and scholarship endowments.

Philanthropic gifts to the University that support these initiatives are eligible for a tax deduction. These gifts may include but are not limited to:

• Capital projects
• Sports Performance Health and Wellness
• Philanthropic initiatives
• Athletics Director Opportunity Fund
• Endowments

“The Scarlet Society will provide us with a new avenue to expand our donor base, so our staff was very deliberate as we were putting together the different aspects of this program,” Purinton said.  “We not only wanted to provide numerous benefits, but benefits we thought current and potential donors would find meaningful and attractive.  We believe we accomplished that, while also presenting multiple ways people can choose to contribute in order to help advance A-State Athletics.”

For more information on joining the Scarlet Society, please contact Logan Kidd at (870) 972-3873 or rkidd@astate.edu.

As a benefit for donors that participate in these initiatives, all major gifts will receive the full amount of priority points for the totality of the gifts once their pledge has been signed and documented. for example a donor that commits to a $25,000 pledge will receive their priority points on the front end, not as they make payments on their pledge.

Multiple Sports Needs

PACK PRIDE HALL

This space is an extension of the Charles F. Luter Family Academic Success Center for all our student-athletes to utilize while at Arkansas State. Our academic support staff will benefit from having this space to properly assist and develop our student-athletes. This space will also allow our student-athletes to focus on their studies with the necessary resources when they are not practicing or competing in their respective sports.

FIRST NATIONAL BANK ARENA UPGRADES
Built in 1987, First National Bank Arena hosts competitions for our men’s & women’s basketball teams, indoor track team, and our volleyball team. It has been awhile since there have been major upgrades done to the weight room, training room, and locker rooms. In addition to competition, several of our Olympic sports  programs use the arena for practice, training, and recovery.

HR Celebration

BASEBALL

STADIUM PROJECT
The Sun Belt is one of the nation’s most competitive conferences for baseball, and Arkansas State needs to be positioned to contend with our peers. That starts with having a first-class facility for our student-athletes, coaches, and fans. Key components include: turf playing surface, dugouts, enhanced fan amenities, premium space opportunities, robust operations building (locker room, meeting space, batting cages, offices, etc.).

Team 2024

BOWLING

TECHNOLOGY & PLAYER DEVELOPMENT
The bowling program has achieved much success at Arkansas State and consistently ranks among the top programs in the country. While practicing at The Social, there is a need for our bowlers to have their own shot-tracking technology to record information about their shots using high-powered sensors and an app. There is also a need for a video delay system to allow our bowlers to see their shot after their turn on the TV monitor.

Entrance 2022

FOOTBALL

PRACTICE FIELD
Construction of new practice fields, located directly north of the Student Activity Center (SAC) building, is ongoing and needs to be completed to allow our coaches and student-athletes to properly prepare and train. Along with the SAC and the Centennial Bank Athletics Operations Center, our team will have the facilities  needed to remain competitive in the Sun Belt Conference.

PROGRAM ENHANCEMENTS
Our football program needs to focus on areas pertaining to nutrition, fueling stations, training, and strength & conditioning for our student-athletes. This will help our student athletes and coaches prepare during the offseason and thrive during the season. We also need to focus on other program needs to remain competitive at our level, such as administrative needs, coaches and staff salaries, and staffing.

ADDITIONAL NAMING OPPORTUNITIES
The Red Wolves Foundation has other possibilities for philanthropic gifts that go towards the football program. There are opportunities for support, including options around Centennial Bank Stadium and within the operations building.

MEN’S & WOMEN’S GOLF

PRACTICE FACILITY
This facility is necessary for our teams to train during winter and inclement weather. It would include: four hitting bays (with TrackMan capability included), an indoor bunker, an indoor putting green, a lounge area, and other amenities for our student-athletes.

A-State Track Complex

TRACK & FIELD & SOCCER

COMPLEX
We are in need of some enhancements at our track & field/soccer complex on campus. These improvements include a new scoreboard, new lights, and upgraded bleachers, which would allow us to have more fans out there to support our student-athletes. It would also help us with hosting future competitions and conference championships.

Tennis Balls

WOMEN’S TENNIS

FACILITY ENHANCEMENTS
Our women’s tennis program needs a scoreboard to be able to display all six courts and show the score of each court during  competitions. This would help spectators as well as coaches/players know the score on each court. Other needs would include lights and on-court cameras for match analysis and review.
