Jack was on the rota to blog Friday Links this week, but he’s had a crazy day and now he’s gone home to feed his kids. Maybe he’ll do some later.

So instead you get me.

Friday evenings, after demos – a 4.30pm ritual where people show the studio what they’ve been making this week and everyone claps – we have drivetime.

They made the mistake of giving me the speakers this week, so here’s my drivetime playlist.

We’re a studio that always has music on. This is a room with a serious concentration of folks with awesome taste in music.

Not me though. My taste in music is rubbish.

But at 4pm on Fridays, Alex Jarvis starts his legendary Drivetime selection, and I’m right in my element.

That’s still 15 minutes away, so I’m occupying myself with YouTube videos of Dire Straits.

Perhaps we should see if our neighbours fancy doing a special broadcast.
