Observations and forecasts for Midwestern United States

Windfinder added observations and forecast for the Midwestern United States, the so called heartland, including the states of Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri and Nebraska. Currently there are 12 observing stations (excluding Lake Michigan in Illinois): Clear Lake/Mason City Airport, Saylorville Dam (both in Iowa), Creve Coeur Lake, Lakeside 370/St. Peters, St. Louis Lambert Airport, Smithville Reservoir/Trimble (all in Missouri), Perry Lake, Clinton Lake/Berryton, El Dorado Lake (near Wichita), Russell/Wilson Lake (all in Kansas), Lake McConaughy, Lincoln/Branched Oak Lake (all in Nebraska). The 5 weather stations in Illinois on Lake Michigan are allocated to the Great Lakes weather maps.If your favorite windsurfing, kitesurfing or sailing spot is still missing please e-mail us at: info –at– windfinder –dot– com.


Wind reports for Minnesota, Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska and Montana

Windfinder is starting to cover the Midwest and adding more spots to the Rockies and the north of the USA: Wind reports and Forecasts for Mille Lacs Lake in Minnesota,Creve Coeur Lake Lake in St. Louis/Missouri, Clinton Lake and Perry Lake in Kansas, Lake McConaughy in Nebraska, Canyon Ferry Lake and Flathead Lake in Montana are now available.
