Timduru (born 1975), is a fursuiter and fandom organizer who hosts websites and promotes activities within the furry fandom.
Fandom involvement[edit]
Timduru discovered "Furry" (under this term) around 1993 while searching on the internet for "animal costumes", but had already been a big anthro animals/costumes fan for some time.
Canadian fursuiter Mishi further explained the concept to Timduru in an email correspondence in 1997. In 1998, he attended his first furry meeting at the Ocean City's Doo Dah Parade in New Jersey, and later that year attended Albany AnthroCon. He visited Duckon in 1999, followed by Anthrocon, Eurofurence and Further Confusion in subsequent years.[1]
In 1998, Timduru created The Fursuit Archive, a web archive of pictures and videos of fursuits and furry conventions, was also the creator of the monthly Internet radio show, FursuitTV, and the creatot of the The Fursuit Database based on Growl's and Radjin's concept.[clarify]
Timduru has attended multiple conventions like Eurofurence, Anthrocon, Further Confusion, and other events when possible through the years. He was one of the organizers of FranFurence before announcing quitting the organization in August 2005.
He also hosted fursuit dance parties at his house (the Meerkat Manor), and was organizing a yearly Halloween fursuit outing to Disneyland Paris until 2011.
He managed the French furry website and forum FranceFurs until 2014, along with a few personal sites for furries, as well as a relay for the streaming of the Funday PawPet Show.
He is still hosting the furry wiki, WikiFur, and The Fursuit Database as of 2023, even though it was announced in 2004 that he would stop doing so within ~2 years.[2]
