Borrowed from Andalusian Arabic الصِرَاط (aṣ-ṣiráṭ), from Arabic صِرَاط (ṣirāṭ), from Classical Syriac ܐܣܛܪܛ (ˀesṭrāṭ), from Latin strāta. Doublet of estrada.
