Dukes Swim Past Clarion, Kenyon

Results

The Duquesne University women's swimming team went 1-3 in Saturday's action in Canton, OH, topping Kenyon, 141.5-136.5 and falling to Clarion, 149-145, Marshall, 168-120 and Akron, 198-96. The Dukes actually topped Clarion in the swimming events, 145-117, but the Golden Eagles received 32 diving points to top the Red and Blue.

Juniors Jillian Rupinski and Sarah Breisinger each captured a first place for the Dukes and helped the Red and Blue place third in the 200-yard medley relay. Rupinski grabbed first in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:08.57 while Breisinger claimed gold in the 200-yard backstroke in 2:09.85.

The Dukes return to the water on Friday, Nov. 19 as they travel to St. Peter's for a 4:00 pm meet.
