Ricky Wheeler joined the Duquesne University Sports Medicine Staff in November 2018, working with the men’s & women’s cross country and track & field teams.
 
Wheeler completed his Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training at Oklahoma State University in 2008. Prior to joining Duquesne, Wheeler worked at the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg working primarily with the cross country, men’s soccer, women’s basketball and baseball teams. Wheeler has been with the UPMC Sports Medicine Athletic Training Department for eight years and a Team Leader within the department for the last four years.
 
Wheeler is a certified CPR instructor by the American Heart Association. He is certified by the n Board of Certification and is licensed to practice as an athletic trainer in the state of Pennsylvania by the state Board of Medicine.
