Temperature
Temperatures varied in the region. The warmest temperatures were in central Kansas, central Wyoming, and scattered areas in Colorado reaching above normal temperatures higher than 10°F. Temperatures in central Colorado and northwestern North Dakota reached 4°F to 11°F below normal.
The warmest temperatures were in central Wyoming, the Nebraskan panhandle, central and western Kansas, and scattered parts in Colorado reaching temperatures 12°F to 16°F above normal. The warmest temperature was 59°F in Denver, Colorado which is 16°F above normal for the area, and in Trinidad, Colorado which is 13°F above normal for the area. Temperatures in northwestern North Dakota reached 6°F to 9°F below normal.
The coldest temperatures were in northwestern North Dakota reaching temperatures 6°F to 12°F below normal. The coldest temperature was 4°F in Craig, Colorado which is normal for the area, and in Grand Forks, North Dakota which is 1°F below normal for the area. Temperatures in central and northwestern Wyoming reached 12°F to 15°F above normal.
Precipitation
Precipitation amounts varied in the region, ranging from 2 percent of normal in most of Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska, and central Wyoming to 800 percent of normal in northcentral North Dakota. Willow Creek, Wyoming received 1.9 inches of precipitation, well above their normal average of 0.19 inches; most of this fell on the 17th. Drought continues in the region. D0 (abnormally dry) conditions remained the same as the previous week at 73 percent. In the region, Kansas experienced the highest decrease in D0 conditions by 2 percent.
