Temperature
Temperatures were above normal for the region. The highest temperatures were in northwestern Colorado, southwestern North Dakota, and northwestern South Dakota reaching temperatures 16°F to 20°F above normal. The coolest temperatures were in eastern North Dakota, scattered spots in Wyoming, central and southwestern Colorado, and southwestern Kansas reaching temperatures of 4°F to 8°F above normal.
Temperatures were above normal for the region. The highest temperatures were in southwestern North Dakota, central South Dakota, and northern Nebraska reaching temperatures 16°F to 20°F above normal. The warmest temperature was 58°F in Lamar, Colorado which is 14°F above normal for the area. Temperatures in eastern North Dakota, central Colorado, and southcentral Kansas reached 0°F to 4°F above normal.
Temperatures were above normal for the region. The highest temperatures were in northwestern and southcentral Wyoming and northwestern Colorado reaching temperatures 20°F to 25°F above normal. Temperatures in the panhandle of Nebraska and southern Colorado reached temperatures 0°F to 5°F above normal. The coldest temperature was 8°F at Darwin Ranch, Wyoming which is 14°F above normal for the area.
Precipitation
Precipitation amounts varied in the region, ranging from 2 percent of normal in eastern North Dakota, most of South Dakota, northern and central Nebraska, central and southeastern Wyoming, eastern Colorado, and southwestern Kansas to 800 percent of normal in northcentral Wyoming. Willow Creek, Wyoming received 3.4 inches of precipitation, well above their normal average of 0.20 inches; most of this fell on the 28th. Drought continues in the region. D0 (abnormally dry) increased from 73% to 74%. In the region, Colorado experienced the highest amount of further degradation of conditions by 4 percent.
