What is Financial Literacy?

Financial literacy is the ability to use knowledge and skills to manage financial resources effectively throughout one’s life.

UC Davis Law Financial Literacy Mission Statement:

The goal of the Financial Literacy Program is to provide the UC Davis Law student with the information and tools necessary to make informed and effective decisions about his/her financial resources as a student and as a graduate.  The program will provide information on the following topics:  

  • Budget
  • Student Loan Management and Repayment
  • Credit and Credit Cards
  • Identity Theft
  • Loan Repayment Plans, Assistance, and Forgiveness Programs
