Integrated Mentored Patient-Oriented Research Training (IMPORT)
Mission
To provide Yale psychiatry residents in their PGY II-IV years with dedicated research time for the pursuit of patient-oriented research activities.
Research Elective Opportunities
- Clinical and Academic Skills Enhancement (CASE) Elective (3 months; 4 PGY II Stipends)
- Part-Time Longitudinal Research Elective (25% time for 12 months; 4 PGY III Stipends)
- Full-Time Research Elective (75% time for 12 months; 2 PGY IV Stipends)
Who is eligible?
Current Yale psychiatry residents in their PGY II-IV years
Location
Residents may work with any Department of Psychiatry faculty mentor pursuing research and/or other academic activities consistent with the program's patient-oriented research mission.
How to Apply
Interested residents in their PGY I-III years may apply through the Office of Education as part of the Departmental process for scheduling residency rotation schedules. Depending on the level of research educational opportunity sought, additional application materials may be required (e.g., full-time PG IV research elective).
