Guernésiais

From Simple English Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Guernésiais is a Norman language spoken on the Channel island of Guernsey. It is related to the Jèrriais language on nearby Jersey island. It is part of the Oïl languages family. Only 2% of the island's people speak the language.

The most recent dictionary of Guernésais, Dictiounnaire Angllais-guernesiais by Marie de Garis, was released in 1967. It was revised in 1982.[1]
