The Iron Lady (movie)

The Iron Lady is a 2011 biographical drama movie based on the life and career of Margaret Thatcher.[1] The movie was directed by Phyllida Lloyd and written by Abi Morgan. Thatcher is played by Meryl Streep.[2] Thatcher's husband, Denis Thatcher, is played by Jim Broadbent. Other cast members include Olivia Colman, Richard E. Grant, Roger Allam and Anthony Head.

It was released on 26 December 2011 to mixed reviews. For her role as Thatcher, Streep won an Academy Award for Best Actress.
