Problem Statement
Problem Statement
Weighted shoeing is a common way to correct asymmetries in the gait of a horse. Weighting of the hoof is done based on the expertise of the farrier. To better understand what is being done a tool to measure the mass moment of inertia tensor will allow researchers to analyze joint loading in the foreleg. An understanding of the resulting joint loading will help characterize symmetric motion and any effect on swing phase joint loads.
