Minor Program

The Spanish minor assures a basic proficiency in Spanish and acquaints students with the language, literature, and traditions of the Spanish-speaking world. In today's global economy, this minor is an asset to almost any major.

Lower Division - Preparatory Subject Matter 0-33
First Year: Spanish 1, 2, 3 15
Second Year: Spanish 21, 22, 23, 24/S* OR 31, 32, 33*  
(*Prerequisites for upper division courses: Spanish 24/S or 33)

Linguistics 1 - RECOMMENDED not required.
Note: In consultation with a departmental adviser and with the consent of the department chairperson, Linguistics 1 may be taken concurrently with upper division courses.
