Employment Assistance

The M&FR office supports military, civilians, and family members in achieving short and long-term employment, by referring for education/training, and obtaining career goals in the private and public sectors. The M&FR office provides comprehensive services to ensure the Total Force is equipped with adequate knowledge and assistance to aid in their job search. For more details contact your local Military and Family Readiness office.

Family Readiness (Deployment)

The M&FR office provides a variety of services and activities for individuals and families affected by deployment. They have pamphlets, books and videos that discuss how to prepare for a deployment, cope with separation and come back together as a family. Other materials help single people, who have different issues, prepare for deployment.  The M&FR staff work with units and  individuals to provide advice and help. Military and Family Life Counselor

Military Life Family Counseling – Our center is staffed with a Military and Family Life Counselor (MFLC) who provides short-term solution-based counseling to service members and their families. We offer non-medical counseling in the following areas: anger management, communication, relationship issues, conflict resolution, parenting, decision making skills, deployment stress, coping skills, home sickness, relocation adjustment, reintegration, separation, building resiliency and grief/loss.

Services are private excepting duty-to-warn situations.

Personal and Work Life

The Personal and Work Life Program (PW&L) increases effectiveness through everyday living skills, teaches participants to cope with life events and helps them realize their personal potential, resulting in increased quality of life and resilience for military members and their families. P&WL activities are educational in nature and offered in group or individual settings. Several offerings aim to facilitate and connect customers to information and agencies they will encounter throughout their military experience.              

These include the Key Spouse Program and Heart Link. For more details contact your local Military and Family Readiness office.

Commander's Key Support Program

The U.S. Air and Space Force Commander’s Key Support Program (CKSP) is an official Unit Family Readiness Program designed to enhance readiness and establish a sense of community. Key Support Liaisons (KSL) are volunteers appointed by the unit Commander that serve as a conduit of information providing resources to Air and Space Force families. This Commander’s program promotes partnerships with the unit, KSLs, KSL Mentors, family members, the Military  & Family Readiness Center (M&FRC) and community agencies. Personal Financial Readiness

Personal Financial Readiness – The goal of PFR is to provide financial counseling and education that equips service members and their families with the information needed to address their current personal financial situations, maximize their financial resources and effectively handle any financial challenges that may arise throughout the military life cycle. For more details contact your local Military and Family Readiness office.

Transition Assistance Program

The Transition Assistance Program (TAP) is Congressionally-mandated for all AFR members on 180+ consecutive day orders. The program will assist members with understanding resources and benefits, and provides information that will ease transition from military status to a civilian lifestyle. For specific details on requirements, classes, and workshops contact your local Military and Family Readiness office.
