Climate Factors Affecting Heat Health

Elevated air temperature and humidity is the major cause of heat related illnesses. The thresholds for both temperature and humidity above which illnesses can occur vary from place to place. This web page provides access to real time graphics of air temperature, humidity, and a combination of both, to inform the public of current heat status that might affect vulnerable communities in Africa.
