    Samuel Hears God

    September 2 September 8, 2012

    Review the central truth, the memory verse, prayer and confessions, and read the Bible story with your child each day. As this is done, let your child color in or put a sticker on the power outlet located on the back of the devotional. At the end of the week please sign as proof of completion and return to the PowerSource Information Center. Children who complete 3 weeks Power Cords in a month will have their picture posted in the foyer of Power Source and their name in the newsletter.

    God wants to speak to me. I will be quiet and listen.

    Im listening, Lord. 1 Samuel 3:9

    Young Samuel worked in the temple with Eli, the priest. One night, he heard a voice calling him two different times, Samuel, Samuel! Both times he ran to see what Eli wanted. Eli realized it must be God calling to Samuel. The third time Samuel heard the voice, he said Speak, Lord, I am listening. God told him important things to come. 1 Samuel 3:1-14

    Father God, You are mighty. Help me to be still and listen to You. Forgive me when I do wrong things. Thank you for my parents, teachers and Apostles Ron and Hope. Help them be strong and wise to teach me Your Word. Help me to obey my parents so things will go well with me and I will live a long life on the earth. I believe Your love is flowing through me to bless others. I will tell them how great You are and how much I love You. Thank you that because of the stripes on Jesus back, I am healed and whole. In Jesus Name, Amen

    Psalm 100:1-2 I make a joyful shout to the Lord. I serve Him with gladness. I come before His presence with singing.
