The document provides instructions for completing an EFE Matrix, which is a tool used to evaluate an organization's external factors and opportunities. It involves listing key external factors, assigning a weighting from 0 to 1 to each that sums to 1, rating each factor from 1 to 4, multiplying the weighting by the rating to get a weighted score, and summing the weighted scores to get a total. The matrix is used to evaluate an organization's responses and opportunities related to external factors in its environment.

1. List key external factors (10 to 20). 2. Assign a weighting to each factor from 0.0 (not NB) to 1.0 (very NB). Sum of weights should equal 1.0. 3. Assign a rating of between 1 (poor response); 2 (average response); 3 (above average response) and 4 (superior response) to each key factor. 4. Multiply factor's weight with its rating to determine a weighted score for each key factor. 5. Sum the weighted scores of all key factors to determine total weighted score for the organisation.
