CASA provides children that are in and out of the foster care system with legal representation and moral support to ensure they are placed in the proper home environment. As a national partner of CASA, Theta has created a network of more than 50,000 volunteers, who aid 225,000 abused and neglected children through 900 local programs. A former CASA youth said, to give a child a CASA is to give them a voice. To give them a voice is to give them hope. And to give them hope is to give them the world. Our second philanthropy, the Theta Foundation, strives to give every Theta, both active members and alumni, the opportunity to make a difference through educational, leadership, and philanthropic programming.

At tabling, starting Wednesday, October 16 and then via the buckets the following week people will be able to vote for their favorite picture/representative by donating money. At the end of the week the picture that has collected the most money

will receive extra points in determining who will be crowned Mr./Mrs. CASAnova of KATWalk 2013. On the night of the event there will be a separate segment dedicated toward each chapters representative. Photos must correspond with the chapters theme and must be submitted by Monday, October 14 at 5p.m. no exceptions. The Group Runway Contest: Requires the 8 remaining members of the team to pick a 90s Nickelodeon TV show as their costume inspiration (see attached list of themes). Group runway contestants are also required to create a playlist (approximately 3 minutes long) of music they would like to walk down the runway to by Friday, October 18. Theme songs can not make up this playlist, as the video segment will be shown prior to the team entering the runway. Video Contest: Each chapter will be required to make a brief 30 seconds- 1 minute video mimicking their respective TV shows opening credits. For example, Spongebobs opening credits begin when Who lives in a pineapple under the sea is playing. Opening credits can be found for all themes on YouTube. The videos can be filmed on an iPhone if you have no other camera. If you need help editing please contact Emy Sebagh for more information. All videos are due by Sunday, October 20 at midnight.
