    VISAT MECHANICAL DEPT.

    LIBRARY RULES
    All books must be entered in the library register before they are taken from the
    library.
    No user shall deface the library books by underlining or scribbling notes in the
    margins etc.
    All users must follow the dress code of the college while visiting the library.
    All users should produce ID cards while borrowing books
    Users are required to vacate the Library at designated closing times, upon hearing
    alarm bells.
    Books are issued for the use of borrower only. Hence he/she may not exchange them
    with anyone else.
    Books must be examined by the borrower before leaving the library and damages
    must be brought to the notice of the librarian. The borrower will be held responsible
    for the damages while the books are in his/her charge.
    Borrower who loses a book will replace the book with a fresh one or pay twice the
    cost.
    Any damage done, even accidentally, in library should be at once reported and the
    damages made good.
    Books may not be kept for more than 15 days for students.
    Failure to return a book on expiry date will invoke a payment of fine, the fine
    charged will be as follows:
    First week after the due date: Rs. 10/- per day
    For second week after the due date: Rs. 20/- per day

    The above mentioned rules and regulations are subject to periodical reviews and
    revisions. Failure to comply with library rules and regulations may result in the loss of
    library privileges and may lead to Department disciplinary procedures.
