Moorings & Risers

As we look to deeper water
and harsh environments we are
reaching the current limit of
mooring and riser technology.

Bow mounted turret

Process Plant
There is no significant difference of
process functions on a FPSO to those
on a fixed platform. The problems
can occur due to the motions of the
FPSO and have to be captured in the
design

Conclusions & The Future

Move towards lease/hire contracts
Current availability might satisfy future
requirements for shallow water and
benign environments
A need for at least 20 new FPSOs
Reuse & Experience = Generic design
FPSOs?
