Teaching: ECS/1 split class


This is my first teaching position. My teaching responsibilities included Math,
Language Arts, Science, Social Studies, Music, Art, Physical Education and
Health. I received training in Handwriting without Tears and EYE Assessments. I
have also attended Beginning Teachers Conference and ATA Conference. I was
nominated for the Edwin Parr Award.

March 2015-May 2015

Teaching Intern: Kindergarten Grade 1


This internship allowed me to improve and strengthen my teaching skills. I
assumed full teaching responsibilities in Kindergarten Math, Literacy and You
and Your World. I practiced my classroom management skills and gained
experience in guided reading and running records. I also created differentiated
lessons for a student with autism spectrum disorder. I participated in the school
opening night and pre-kindergarten introduction night.

Garden Creek School

This internship allowed me to learn how to plan and create lesson plans for wide
range of students abilities. I took on full teaching responsibilities in Math,
Literacy and Social Studies. I assisted students who were ESL learners and
worked in the school community by helping out with the Christmas Bazaar, the
School Bottle Drive, and various other school functions.
