    Rejoice! Pray! Give Thanks!


    Religion
    This week we heard the story of Gideon (Judges 6) and Samson (Judges 13). We learned how God is always in control and he will always be with us and give us strength! In Chapel we had a privilege of having Mr. Trautner share a special message with us about Beautiful Feet! Next week we will learn about Ruth, Hannah and Samuel. We will also discuss a few of the numerous blessings we have to be thankful for!


    Next week we will study the letter V and continue to work on beginning and ending sounds!

    We also created our own scarecrow out of pattern blocks! Ask your child how many days we have been in school! Can you guess who came to visit us this week?! Next week we will continue with these concepts and working on daily calendar activities.

    Science and Social Studies


    This week we were able to explore many non-fiction books about snakes, spiders, sharks and even shrimp! We also talked about food groups in our weekly reader this week!

    Language
    This week we studied the letter S! We talked about many words that begin with S, wrote many of them and read even more of them! We also enjoyed some special books and have been working very hard on practicing star words!

    Math
    We worked on many concepts this week including counting (by 2s, 5s and 10s) and sorting, reading, writing and creating shapes!
