1. to teach reported requests and commands (positive and negative) 2. to teach students how to use reported requests and commands in every- day conversations 3. to encourage students to form sentences of their own By the end of the lesson students will be able to: - use reported requests and commands - answer to different questions related to the topic - work in groups on certain tasks - develop speaking skills
Materials:
Books, copybooks, blackboard, cards, worksheets, power point presentation.
Activity 1: Warm- up
Aim: to warm up students for the English class, to break the ice Procedure: 1. T greets students and asks about the absents 2. T asks students about Rachel Pointer who has been to a pop festival recently 3. T invites students to answer some questions about Rachel and also some personal questions. Interaction: T- S; S- T; Timing: 7
Activity 2 Checking the homework Aim: to asses student knowledge and consideration given to fulfillment of task at home Procedure: 1. T invites students to open their notebooks and individual are asked to read their homework. T checks the spelling. 2. Students fulfill the task, paying attention to the student, who is reading his homework, correcting him where necessary.

Activity 3 Lead - in Aim: to demonstrate and revise the language stucture Procedure:1.T asks students to open their books on page 84 and answer the following questions: a) Did Rachels father want her daughter to go to the festival? b) Who talked to Rachels father? c) Did Rachels parents let their daughter go to the festival? d) Would you like to go to a festival? 2. Aim: - to check comprehension and see the grammar structure in context Procedure:1. Students are invited to read some sentences about Rachel again and try to imagine the Direct Speech sentences between Rachel and her parents. 2. The teacher writes the Direct Speech sentences on the blackboard: Dad: Dont go to the pop festival! Rachel: Mum, talk to dad to let me go to the pop festival, please. Dad: Ring me every day, Rachel! 3. Students pay attention Interaction: T-S; S-T Timing:5
Activity 6 Accurate reproduction Aim: to repeat and practice the grammar structure Procedure : 1. T gives Ss cards with some Direct Speech sentences on them. Students have to rewrite the sentences into Indirect Speech using the rules given before. 2. Students fulfill the task 3. T checks the answers and corrects mistakes if necessary. Correct answers are rewarded. Interaction: T- S; S- S; S- T Timing: 6 Activity 7 Feed-back/ Immediate creativity
Aim: to check if students really understood the use of reported requests and commands Procedure: 1. T invites students to solve another exercise. Each correct answer is rewarded. 2.
